지난 해 11월 26일-12월 13일까지 약 3주간 롯데카드 아트센터 아트홀에서 데뷔 후 첫 장기 소극장 콘서트 ‘첫 번째 외박’을 개최했던 김동완은 당시 공연장에서 선사한 라이브 무대 13곡을 생생한 음질로 수록한 라이브 앨범을 발매해 팬들의 가슴에 오래도록 남을 깊은 감동을 선사한다.

특히 전석 매진을 기록하며 팬들의 뜨거운 호응을 이끌었던 김동완의 장기 소극장 콘서트 ‘첫 번째 외박’은 김동완이 데뷔 이후 처음 개최했던 소극장 콘서트로, 약 3주간 10회 공연을 개최했던 김동완은 관객들이 자신의 목소리에 더욱 몰입할 수 있도록 소규모의 밴드 사운드로 구성, 특유의 담백한 보이스와 재치 넘치는 토크로 약 4천 여명의 팬들과 따스한 음악적 교감을 함께 했다.
