The girl in 'X' lives in denial and suppression of herself, swayed by the gaze of the world that says that if she doesn't fit the universal standards, she is wrong.
I never felt for a moment that I fit that mold,
The girl who pretended to fit in and forced herself to fit in eventually reached one question.

“Can’t I be loved for who I am?”

A girl who cannot accept being a different being
I decide to free myself from my oppression.
She knows how much pain it is to convince herself, but she can't get used to being rejected, and even though her heart aches every time, she decides to live as "the worst that I am" rather than "the best that I am not."

The 'X' on the brand that hung on the girl like a tailbone.
Draw another 'X' on top of it and you are free.

In a negative daily life, the same symbol 'X'.
In the 'X' music video, X is a sign of error, a boundary of prohibition, and a stigma of failure. On the line drawn by the world,
Kiko and Somin don't stop.

The moment we meet each other,

It becomes a secret code between the two of you, a joke,

'X'는 틀림(Wrong), 거부(Refuse), 그리고 해방(Liberation) 에 대한 매개체이다.

'X' 속의 소녀는, 보편적인 규격에 맞지 않으면 틀렸다고 말하는 세상의 시선에 흔들리며 스스로를 부정하고 억압하며 살아간다.
단 한순간도 자신이 그 규격에 맞는 사람이라 느낀 적은 없지만,
그런 척이라도 하며 억지로 자신을 끼워 맞추던 소녀는 결국 한 가지 질문에 도달한다.

“나 자신으로서 사랑받을 수는 없을까?”

다른 존재가 되는 것을 받아들일 수 없는 소녀는
억눌려 있던 자신을 해방하기로 결심한다.
스스로를 납득시키는 일이 얼마나 큰 고통인지 알고 있지만, 거부당하는 일에 익숙해지지 못한 채 매번 가슴이 시큰거리더라도 그녀는 '내가 아닌 모습의 최고'가 되기보다, '나 자신인 최악'으로 살기로 결심한다.

소녀에게 꼬리뼈처럼 달려 있던 낙인의 'X'.
그 위에 또 하나의 'X'를 그리며 자유로워진다.

부정적인 일상 속, 같은 기호 'X'.
'X' 뮤직비디오 속에서 X는 틀림의 표시, 금지의 경계, 실패의 낙인이다. 세상이 그어 놓은 선 위에서,
키코와 소민은 멈추지 않는다.

서로를 만나는 순간,
그 'X'는 더 이상 금지가 아니다.
둘만의 암호가 되고, 장난이 되고,
마침내 출구 — X-IT 이 (Exit) 된다.

'X'는 고통에서 시작해, 웃음으로 번지고,
끝내 두 소녀는 부정의 세계를 찢고 달린다.

X IT — 금지를 넘어, 자유로.
