Absence

Seven years have passed since he started his life as a musician, half by himself and half by others. If it is long, if it is short, innumerable things have happened in a short time and my life has changed.

I thought I was always looking for a clear answer to what made me lonely and what made me happy, but in fact it is not. Maybe it's like the title of Jang Ki-ha's book, but I also think that it doesn't matter much.

Now I decided to make songs only for people who need my music. The songs that contain my thoughts are included in this album.

I'm still looking for an answer to the question, 'Have I always regretted and worried about the absence of something?' The important thing is that I am filled with the love I long for from my lover and the blue hearts of my friends. Unfortunately, however, there is no avoiding the absence of emotion.

That's why I decided to continue making and singing music and relying on creation. Because that is the reason for my existence and it will be a way to fill the space of absence.

부재(Absence)

자의 반, 타의 반, 풋내기로 시작한 뮤지션으로의 삶도 7년이 지났다. 길다면 길고, 짧다면 짧은 시간 속에서 무수히 많은 일들이 벌어졌고 내 삶은 변화해왔다.

무엇이 나를 외롭게 했고 또 무엇이 나를 기쁘게 했는지, 늘 명쾌한 답을 찾아 나가고 있다고 생각했지만 사실은 그렇지 않다. 어쩌면 장기하 씨의 책 제목처럼 뭐 그렇지만 크게 상관없는 거 아닌가 라는 생각도 든다.

이제 나의 음악을 필요로 하는 사람들을 위해서만 노래를 만들기로 했다. 그런 내 생각을 담은 곡들이 이 앨범에 담겼다.

'나는 무엇이 부재하여 늘 아쉬워하고 고민했을까?'에 대한 답은 아직도 찾는 중이다. 중요한 건 연인에게 갈구하는 사랑과 친구들의 푸른 마음들로 내가 채워지고 있다는 사실이다. 그러나 애석하게도 감정의 부재는 피할 길이 없다.

그렇기에 음악을 지속적으로 만들고 부르며, 창작에 의존하기로 했다. 그것이 내 존재의 이유이며 부재의 공간을 메울 수 있는 방법이 될 것이기에.
