[DAFT LOVE]는 수많은 힙합 팬들에게 찬사를 받았던 전작 [POST YOUTH] 이후 약 3년 만에 발매되는 뉴 제너레이션 프로듀서 보이콜드의 첫 번째 정규 앨범이다.

앨범은 청춘과 젊음을 노래한 [POST YOUTH]에서 선보였던 보이콜드의 음악관을 다시 한번 전한다. 이번 앨범에서도 '미숙한 사랑'이라는 뜻의 'DAFT LOVE', '철없는 시절'이라는 뜻의 'Salad Days' 등의 표현을 통해 본인 특유의 느낌으로 '젊음'이라는 키워드를 해석했다. 특히, [DAFT LOVE]는 'DAFT(미숙함)'를 표현한 전반 5트랙, 'LOVE(사랑')을 표현한 후반 5트랙으로 나눈 서사적 구성이 돋보여 음악 팬들이 앨범 전체를 즐길 수 있도록 방향성을 제시한다.

10개 트랙으로 구성된 [DAFT LOVE]는 2021년 메가 히트곡 '회전목마(feat. Zion.T, 원슈타인)'의 주인공 소코도모(sokodomo) 외에도 피에이치원(pH-1), 비오(BE'O), 지올팍(Zior Park), 우즈(WOODZ), 미스피츠(msftz), 키드 밀리(Kid Milli) 등 현재 대한민국에서 가장 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 아티스트 16명이 대거 출동하여 앨범의 완성도를 높였다.
