The motto chosen for the 1st anniversary of Apink's unique image that has been adhered to so far is <change>. Even before their debut, Apink has the 'basic' to pull off any concept because they have trained themselves in sexy choreography by foreign pop stars as well as choreography for long marathons wearing high heels! With this album as an opportunity, Apink will write a new 'style'. In addition, fashion designers Lee Do-i and Kim Si-yang participated in the jacket and music video costumes for this album, drawing high attention from Apink fans as well as the fashion world.
On April 19th, Apink expressed their gratitude by releasing the song <April 19th> just in time for their debut a year ago to repay fans' love. In particular, this song is a song that presents the heart to fans with lyrics written carefully by member Park Cho-rong over a long period of time. It is a song that feels the warm sensibility of Apink as it is a song that stands out with the improved vocals of the members, fresh pop sound, sophisticated harmony of harmonies, and dynamic arrangement of the scale in the second half.

지금까지 고수해왔던 에이핑크만의 이미지에서 1주년 기념으로 선택한 모토는 <변화>이다. 데뷔 전부터 해외 팝스타들의 섹시한 안무는 물론, 높은 하이힐을 신고 장시간 마라톤 안무로 다져진 소녀들이기 때문에 어떤 컨셉이든 소화할 수 있는 '기본'을 갖추고 있는 에이핑크! 이번 앨범을 계기로 에이핑크만의 새로운 ‘스타일’을 써 내려가게 될 것이다. 또한 이번 앨범의 자켓 및 뮤직비디오 의상을 패션디자이너 이도이, 김시양 디자이너가 참여하여 에이핑크의 팬은 물론 패션계에서도 높은 관심을 받고 있다.
지난 4월 19일, 에이핑크는 팬들의 사랑에 보답하기 위하여 1년 전 데뷔일과 꼭 맞춰 <4월 19일>곡을 발매하며 감사하는 마음을 전했다. 특히 이 곡은 멤버 박초롱이 오랜 시간을 들여 정성스럽게 쓴 가사로 팬들에게 마음을 선물하는 노래이다. 청아하면서도 멤버들의 향상된 보컬과 상큼한 팝 사운드, 세련된 화음의 조화, 다이나믹한 후반부 스케일의 편곡이 돋보이는 곡으로 따뜻한 에이핑크의 감성이 느껴지는 곡이다.
첫 번째 트랙
세 번째 트랙에 실려있는 “고양이”는 멜로디메이커 김건우 작곡가와 인기 작사가 메이비가 안겨 준 곡으로, 데뷔 전부터 여러 번의 수정을 거쳐 완성시킨 에이핑크 맞춤형 곡이다. 또한 “살짝쿵” 핑크빛 사랑으로 가득 채워줄 달콤하면서도 가볍지 않은 에이핑크의 애교송으로 기억될 것이다. 작곡가 김두현(황금두현) 김원현(노는어린이) 두 콤비의 “BUBIBU”는 14인조 오케스트라의 웅장한 선율과 어쿠스틱한 사운드, 부드러우면서 강한 Drum Beat 와 Synth가 어우러져 풍성한 사운드를 들려준다.
여섯 번째 트랙에 담겨져 있는 “STEP”은 휴우와 신사동호랭이가 공동 작업한 곡으로 청초한 에이핑크, 그리고 ‘착한 약속’이 가삿말에 녹여져 따뜻한 느낌의 곡이다. 또한 경쾌한 리듬과 부드러운 신스가 잘 어우러졌으며, 특히 구두소리와 드럼 비트가 독특한 느낌을 나타내고 있다.
일곱 번째 트랙은 에이핑크의 데뷔곡 '몰라요'와 2집의 Prince를 선사했던 슈퍼창따이가 선사한 “Boy”! 중독성있는 멜로디와 말하는 듯한 가사를 에이핑크가 잘 표현해낸 곡이다. 타이틀곡과는 또 다른 느낌의 복고풍으로 좀더 마이너한 느낌이 임팩트있게 살아있다. "I Got You"는 인기 작곡가 신사동호랭이와 Joker, 김태주 세 명이 기존의 에이핑크의 스타일과는 다르게 강렬한 신스사운드를 가미시킨 곡으로 사랑에 빠진 소녀의 마음을 재치 있는 가사로 비유하여 에이핑크의 깜찍함과 발랄함이 돋보이는 곡이다.
첫 번째 앨범의 마지막 트랙을 장식한 “하늘 높이 (Feat. JOKER)는 JOKER의 샤우팅 랩 피처링을 시작으로 지금까지 몰랐던 에이핑크의 보이쉬한 보컬과 반복되는 게이트 신스, 경쾌한 하우스리듬 위에 서정적인 오케스트라 선율이 어우러진 곡이다. 또한 가사에 나타나 있는 “높이 날아 오르게, 멀리 날 수 있게”와 같이 멈추지 않고 달려가겠다는 여리게만 보였던 에이핑크의 다부진 다짐이 엿보이는 곡이다.
