24K (24K), comeback with 'Sexy Lover'

24K, a 7-member idol group that has emerged as a 'trendy idol' in Europe and South America with their intense electronic dance music (EDM), is starting a comeback.
24K's comeback in Korea is 6 months since they ended their activities with the title song 'Bingo' of their regular album. The concept of this album is 'sexy lover'. 24K, which has been eye-catching for its intense EDM and powerful choreography, is back with a soft yet sexy image this time around. The title of this mini-album is 'ADDICTION', which means an addicted state where you can't get out of being buried by someone. The title song is a house EDM song based on a trendy future bass sound, 'All I Need is You'. Composed by 24K's leader Corey and written by member Jungwook, this song expresses the genuine feelings of a man who is fatally in love with the overwhelming and implicit words 'All you need is just you'.
If the title number 'All I Need is You' gives a strong feeling, the b-side song 'Secret' is a ballad with a faint pad sound that misses a lover who broke up, and anyone who has gone through the pain of a breakup can relate to it. The sophisticated sound and mournful lyrics captivate the ears, making it a recommended song for those who like easy listening music. The song was written and composed by YANG D, who participated in the OST-DO IT of the web drama 'Tomorrow Boy', in which VIXX's N starred.
In this album as well, the members of 24K showed off their image as artists by digesting everything from composing the title song 'All I Need is You' to choreography and mix mastering work. The music video, directed by director Hong Won-ki of Zani Bros, a production company specializing in music videos, harmonizes sexy choreography with colorful colors, bringing the art and sexy concept to life, which is enough to attract attention. Also, the title of this album, 'ADDICTION' and the logo of the title song, 'All I Need is You' are design fonts donated free of charge by Daniel Zagocsky, a Polish designer with whom they met during overseas performances.
From December of last year to April of this year, 24K secured a large overseas fandom through tour performances in 13 countries, including England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Finland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, and Brazil. 강렬한 일렉트로닉 댄스뮤직(EDM)으로 유럽과 남미 지역에서 ‘대세돌’로 떠오른 7인조 아이돌 그룹 투포케이(24K)가 컴백 활동을 시작한다.
투포케이의 이번 국내 컴백은 정규앨범 타이틀곡 ‘빙고’로 활동을 마감한지 6개월 만이다. 이번 앨범의 컨셉은 ‘섹시한 사랑꾼’. 그동안 강렬한 EDM에 파워풀한 군무로 눈길을 사로잡았던 투포케이가 이번엔 부드러우면서도 섹시한 이미지로 돌아온다. 이번 미니앨범의 표제는 누군가에게 매몰되어 헤어날 수 없는 중독된 상태를 의미하는 ‘어딕션(ADDICTION)’이다. 타이틀곡은 트랜디한 퓨쳐 베이스 사운드를 기반으로 한 하우스 EDM곡 ‘너 하나면 돼’이다. 투포케이 리더 코리가 작곡하고 멤버 정욱이 작사한 이 노래는 치명적 사랑에 빠진 남자의 순정적인 심정을 ‘너 하나면 돼’라는 압도적이고 함축적인 단어로 표현한 곡이다.
타이틀 넘버 ‘너 하나면 돼’가 강렬한 느낌을 던져준다면 수록곡 ‘비밀’은 헤어진 연인를 그리워하는 아련한 패드사운드의 발라드 곡으로 이별의 아픔을 겪어본 사람이라면 누구나 공감할 수 있는 노래다. 세련된 사운드에 애절한 가사가 귀를 사로잡고 있어 이지리스닝 계열의 음악을 좋아하는 사람들에게 추천할 만한 곡이다. 빅스의 엔이 주연을 맡았던 웹드라마 ‘투모로우보이’의 OST-DO IT에 참여했던 YANG D가 작사 작곡한 노래다.
이번 앨범 역시 투포케이 멤버들이 타이틀곡 ‘너 하나면 돼’를 작곡부터 안무, 믹스 마스터링 작업에 이르기까지 모든 것을 소화해내며 아티스트로서의 면모를 과시했다. 뮤직비디오 전문 제작프로덕션인 자니브로스의 홍원기 감독이 연출한 뮤직비디오는 섹시한 안무와 다채로운 색감을 조화시키며 아트 앤 섹시 컨셉을 살려내 눈길을 끌기에 충분하다. 또한 이번 앨범의 표제인 ‘ADDICTION’과 타이틀곡 ‘너 하나면 돼’의 로고는 해외 공연 때 인연을 맺은 폴란드 디자이너 다니엘 자고츠키가 무료 기증한 디자인 서체이다.
지난해 12월부터 올해 4월까지 영국 프랑스 독일 이탈리아 포르투갈 폴란드 핀란드 루마니아 러시아 스웨덴 스페인 네덜란드 브라질 등 13개국 투어공연으로 해외 팬덤을 대거 확보한 투포케이가 이번에는 K-POP 분위기가 물씬 풍기는 EDM으로 컴백해 불모지나 다름없는 국내 가요계에 글로벌 대세 장르로 자리잡은 EDM 바람을 새롭게 불러일으킬지 관심이 모아지고 있다.
