오직 ‘루아이’만을 위한 곡을 작업하고 싶어 시작하게 된 곡으로 루아이를 만나게 되어 소중함을 알게된 감사한 마음을 담았습니다.
‘16번째 별’이라는 제목을 정하게 된 배경은 16번째 별인 ‘루’가 17번째 별인 ‘위’를 빛내고 이끌어준다는 뜻과 서로가 서로의 운명임을 확인하고 묻는다는 뜻을 함축한 ‘루아이’를 상징하는 곡을 루아이에게 선물하고자 정하게 되었습니다.
루아이, 고마워요. 우릴 품에 안아줘서. 그리고 우리 앞에 별이 되어줘서.
위아이의 정체성 3부작을 마무리하는 마지막 트랙을 루아이가 장식하기를 바라는 마음을 담아 따뜻한 스트링 사운드와 미디움 템포로 후반으로 갈수록 위아이만의 감정선을 극대화 시킨다.
