It leaves, takes me to that place, and stays.
While working on this song, I reached out to the us in my memories. The image of those difficult and clumsy days has, before I knew it, become a romance. Life is still full of hardships, and I am still clumsy, but I feel reassured knowing that we are here to stand by each other's side. How much further can we go together! I send this with feelings of gratitude and apology.

우리의 삶은 균열로부터 시작된다.
어떤 균열은 이미 생겨버린 문제이고,
어떤 균열은 내가 스스로 일으켜야 하는 저항이다.
또 어떤 것들은
끝내 금이 가지 않기를 바라며
조심스럽게 붙들고 싶은 마음이다.

우리는 끊임없이 무언가를 메우며 살아간다.
부서진 관계와 마음,
무너진 믿음과 꿈들을.
하지만 어쩌면 우리는
균열을 두려워하면서도 동시에 기대하고 있는 건 아닐까.
균열 속에서 모든 것은 부서지고,

실체 없는 이야기들. 누군가는 삶을 버리고, 누군가는 만신창이가 되어 살아간다. 말이 얼마나 잔인하고 무서운 일인지 우리는 알고 있다. 그럼에도 여전히 누구 하나 걸리기만 해보라는 식의 마녀사냥은 계속된다. 언젠가는 그 화살이 스스로에게 되돌아 갈 것이다.

곡 작업 중에 기억 속 우리에게 닿았다. 어렵고 서툴렀던 그 시절의 모습이 어느새 낭만이 되었다. 삶은 여전히 어려운 일 투성이고, 나는 서툴지만, 서로의 곁이 되어줄 우리가 있기에 든든하다. 또 어디까지 함께 갈 수 있을까! 고맙고 미안한 마음을 담아 전한다.
