Stray Kids continues their unique way of communicating with the world with new words that go beyond the existing grammar framework with each album through their new single titled 'Christmas EveL' which is a combination of 'L' added to 'Christmas Eve'. With the theme of 'Christmas mischievous boy', they will meet fans in Korea and abroad with a special single that will be like a surprise Christmas gift.
In the video 'Stray Kids "STEP OUT 2021"' released on January 1st of this year, the group announced their aspirations and plans such as their first official fan meeting, their own reality show, their second full-length album, a seasonal song, collaborations, and a pop-up store. Starting with holding a fan meeting, they sequentially kept their promises such as their own reality show 'SKZ CODE' and global collaborations, realizing their love for their fans. Stray Kids가 2021년 11월 29일 홀리데이 스페셜 싱글 'Christmas EveL'을 발표한다.
Stray Kids는 'Christmas Eve'에 알파벳 'L'을 더한 새 싱글명 'Christmas EveL'을 통해 매 앨범마다 기존 문법의 틀을 넘어 새로운 단어로 세상과 소통해온 그룹만의 독창적인 화법을 이어간다. '크리스마스의 악동'을 테마로 삼아 크리스마스의 깜짝 선물 같은 스페셜 싱글로 국내외 팬들을 찾아간다.
올해 1월 1일 선보인 영상 'Stray Kids "STEP OUT 2021"'에서 첫 공식 팬미팅, 자체 리얼리티, 정규 2집, 시즌 송, 컬래버레이션, 팝업스토어 등 그룹의 포부와 계획을 예고했고 팬미팅 개최를 시작으로 자체 리얼리티 'SKZ CODE', 글로벌 컬래버레이션 등 공약을 순차적으로 지켜가며 팬 사랑을 실현했다. 기세를 이어 시즌송 'Christmas EveL'을 발표하고 국내외 팬들의 응원에 화답한다.
홀리데이 스페셜 싱글 'Christmas EveL'에는 'Christmas EveL'과 'Winter Falls'(윈터 폴스)가 더블 타이틀곡으로 자리했다. 곡명부터 서로 상반된 분위기를 풍기는 두 신곡이 듣는 이들에게 두 배의 매력을 전할 것으로 예감케 했다. 'Christmas EveL'은 팀 내 프로듀싱 그룹 3RACHA가 작사, 작곡을 맡아 재치 넘치는 Stray Kids만의 매력을 십분 살렸다. 색다른 시선에서 바라본 크리스마스를 위트 있게 풀어낸 가사 "살금살금 까치발 굴뚝 위로 올라가", "오늘은 특별한 날 그 누구도 훔칠 수 없어 그림자들이 날 덮쳐 Let me sing a Christmas song" 등으로 몰입도를 높였다. 연말 분위기가 느껴지는 사운드를 펑키하고 힙합스럽게 비틀어 Stray Kids만의 쾌활한 에너지를 배가했다. 또 다른 타이틀곡 'Winter Falls'(윈터 폴스)는 서정적인 가사와 대비되는 기타 선율과 따뜻한 멜로디가 매력적인 곡으로, 아련하고 서정적인 분위기를 느낄 수 있다.
여기에 신곡 '24 to 25'와 정규 2집 'NOEASY'(노이지) 수록곡 'DOMINO'(도미노)의 영어 버전 음원이 담겼다. 'DOMINO (English Ver.)'은 방찬, 필릭스와 함께 래퍼 주노플로(Junoflo)가 힘을 합쳐 '한번 까딱하면 모두가 따라온다'는 자신감과 포부를 영어 가사로 재해석했다.
새 싱글 역시 3RACHA가 전곡 크레디트에 이름을 올리며 음악적 성장세를 자랑한다. 이외에 earattack, HotSauce 등 국내외 유수의 작가진과 의기투합해 완성도를 높였다.
