From the heart to the stage, from the stage to us
SORAN’s 5th EP [SETLIST]

While I was thinking about how to make this album, my concert hall came to mind.
I thought it would be nice if those moments in the space where we laughed, made noise, and exchanged our overwhelming feelings could be turned into music and included in an album. But that doesn’t mean I want to make a live album containing live performances. It's a strange story, right?

In order to prepare for those precious moments, as if I were writing down SETLIST one song at a time, I selected the many songs I had accumulated over a long period of time, made new ones, and carefully edited them to fill this album. Every time I made a choice, I first thought about the ears of proud people watching us in the audience rather than thinking 'because it's a sound source'. Maybe that's why I'm happier than ever to be able to share this album with you.

Please join us in finding SETLIST, which shines beautifully like gold in a world as wide as a sand field. And what if we walk together, slowly, for a long time, engraving a new SETLIST with an unchanging mind?

마음에서 무대로, 무대에서 우리에게
소란(SORAN)의 다섯 번째EP [SETLIST]

이번 앨범을 어떻게 만들어야 할지 고민이 거듭되는 중에 우리의 공연장이 떠올랐습니다.
우리가 같이 웃고, 소리 내고, 벅찬 마음을 주고받는 공간에서의 그 순간들이 음악이 되어 앨범에 담기면 좋겠다는 생각이었습니다. 그렇다고 실황을 담은 라이브 앨범을 만들고 싶은 건 아니고요. 이상한 얘기죠?

그 소중한 순간들을 준비하기 위해 SETLIST를 한 곡, 한 곡 적어 내려가듯, 그동안 쌓인 많은 곡을 오랫동안 고르고 또 새로 만들고, 정성껏 만져서 이 앨범에 채웠습니다. 선택의 순간마다 '음원이니까' 하는 마음보다는 객석에서 직접 우리를 지켜봐 주는 자랑스러운 사람들의 귀를 먼저 생각했어요. 그래서 그런지 이 앨범을 들려드릴 수 있는 지금 여느 때보다 더 기쁘네요.

모래밭처럼 넓디넓은 세상에서 황금처럼 아름답게 빛나는 SETLIST를 저희와 같이 찾아주세요. 그리고 변하지 않는 마음으로 오랫동안 천천히 새로운 SETLIST를 새기며 같이 걸어가면 어떨까요?
