Introducing SM Jazz Trio
The most notable members of the jazz scene, bassist Hwang Ho-gyu, drummer Kim Jong-kook, and jazz pianist Yohan Kim, have joined forces to form the first jazz trio from a K-pop agency. SM Jazz Trio debuted in 2024 with "Supernova (Jazz Ver.)" and released "11:11 (Jazz Ver.)" and their first original track, "Prometheus," in 2025, showcasing their unique music. Crossing genre boundaries and presenting new sounds, SM Jazz Trio continues to expand their musical horizons.
'PINK NOTE' combines the dual meaning of 'Blue Note', which signifies the musical idiom of jazz and the symbolic jazz club, with 'Pink Blood', which contains SM's identity, to present the vision that SM Jazz Trio wants to move forward with, with the meaning of a feast of a jazz trio ensemble on a new scale called 'Pink Note' that unfolds in the jazz club 'Pink Note' in the wilderness.
It contains 10 tracks that reinterpret 10 hit songs by SM artists such as Girls' Generation, SHINee, Red Velvet, NCT DREAM, and RIIZE in jazz form, including the double title tracks 'Only One (Jazz Ver.)' and 'Growl (Jazz Ver.)' which are jazz versions of famous songs by BoA and EXO.
