This album was planned to commemorate the SM exhibition 'SMART EXHIBITION' held at COEX, Samseong-dong, Seoul from August 10th to 19th. As it is the third best album to be released in 12 years, it is expected to get a good response as you can meet SM's gem-like music at once.
This best album, which consists of 6 CDs, contains a total of 89 carefully selected songs from SM albums released from 2001 to 2012 in order of release, so you can see SM's history at a glance. In addition, it contains hit songs by artist as well as OST hit songs, piano performance song 'Dreams of Heaven' by pianist Song Kwang-sik, and folk singer Chu Ga-yeol's 'Is There Anything Like Me?'

이번 앨범은 8월 10~19일 서울 삼성동 코엑스에서 열리는 SM 전시회 ‘S.M.ART EXHIBITION’을 기념해 기획된 것으로, 지난 1994년 출시된 ‘SM BEST ALBUM 1’, 2001년 ‘SM BEST ALBUM 2’에 이어 약 12년 만에 선보이는 세 번째 베스트 앨범인 만큼, SM의 주옥 같은 음악을 한꺼번에 만날 수 있어 좋은 반응을 얻을 것으로 기대된다.
6CD로 구성된 이번 베스트 앨범에는 2001년부터 2012년 현재까지 발표된 SM 앨범 가운데 엄선된 총 89곡이 발매 순으로 수록되어 있어 SM의 히스토리를 한 눈에 볼 수 있다. 더불어 아티스트별 히트곡들은 물론 O.S.T 히트곡과 피아니스트 송광식의 피아노 연주곡 ‘Dreams of Heaven’, 포크가수 추가열의 ‘나 같은 건 없는 건가요’ 등도 함께 담아 SM의 다양한 음악 색깔을 만나기에 충분하다.

This is such an amazing collection of songs from SM Entertainment spanning 2002-2012 with BoA’s Only One being the most recent release included. It’s almost 6 hours of music! My only disappointment is it only includes original title tracks, no repackage title tracks, so it’s missing the likes of MOTO, Run Devil Run and Hot Summer as well as others. But it’s otherwise a top tier album if you are just looking to collect the hits!
