It has already been a year since he passed away, and the posthumous album released to commemorate the first anniversary of the late Shin Hae-chul's death will also be released on CD.

The LP version of Shin Hae-chul's posthumous album 'Welcome To The Real World', which was released on the 27th of last month, which was also the first anniversary of his death, sold out immediately after its release, and will be released as a CD on the 00th.

The LP, which was produced in a limited edition of 3,000 copies at the time, included a total of 40 songs, including three of Shin Hae-chul's posthumous works, "Welcome to Real World," as well as hidden masterpieces that fans loved while alive, such as "Before It's Too Late," "Just a Beggar Walking," "On the Road," and "Cheer Up." It was evaluated as a high-quality album with high collection value due to the production process that took six months, even overseas.

However, even after the news was delivered that there would be no additional production due to the long production period and circumstances, fans' continued love calls did not stop, and so it was decided to produce an additional CD specially, which is expected to assuage the fans' disappointment a little.

Also, along with the release of this CD, a special music video titled 'Welcome to Real World' will be released that reenacts the life of the late Shin Hae-chul, raising expectations. In particular, the music video has captured even more attention by using CG to create effects that make the deceased's eyes and mouth move, making him appear as if he were alive.


Welcome To The Real World Song Introduction

Among Shin Hae-chul's last works, a 1 minute and 30 second demo that was broadcast at the end of last year was completed as a full version and was brought to light to mark the first anniversary of his death.
This is a rock song with Shin Hae-chul's signature majestic and rich sound, featuring Kim Se-hwang's rock guitar sound and strings arranged by Park In-young, a string arranger active in the United States.
Normally, the first violin is the main part, but in this song, the second violin and viola are the main parts, creating a richer sound.
The drums are played with a running feel, following the overall flow of the song, and the vocals are by Shin Hae-chul and Lee Hyun-seop, who were twin vocalists in Next United, and Jade, a member of Next, played the bass.
The lyrics contain a hopeful message to teenagers who are just stepping out into the world, telling them not to be afraid of the real world and to work hard to face it.
In particular, it is known that he had shared thoughts about this song with his relative Seo Taiji while he was alive, and it is known that Seo Taiji gave him advice during the final stages of work to help complete the song.


I Want It All Song Introduction

The demo version of I Want It All that Shin Hae-chul released last year has been released as a completed arrangement. The guitar and bass in the demo were completed by performances by Kim Se-hwang and Jade, members of Next. In particular, Shin Hae-chul's narration in the intro was completed by his assistant engineer who happened to find it in the 14TB hard drive of the deceased's computer.
This song is comprised of powerful guitar sounds, explosive drum sounds, magnificent strings, and Shin Hae-chul and Lee Hyun-seop's powerful vocals that span three octaves. In the repeated part of the second verse's chorus, they tried to insert a recording of the audience singing along during Shin Hae-chul's concerts while he was still alive, but he passed away suddenly. So this spring, members of Next's fan club, Cheolgi-gun, voluntarily gathered in the recording studio and recorded the chorus, completing the song. Listening to the chorus part is heart-wrenching.

세상을 떠난 지 어느덧 1년, 고(故) 신해철의 1주기를 맞아 출시된 유작 앨범이 CD로도 발매된다.

고 신해철의 1주기이기도 했던 지난달 27일 발매된 유작 앨범 '웰컴 투 리얼 월드(Welcome To The Real World)’ LP판이 출시와 동시에 모두 완판을 기록한 가운데, 00일 CD로도 제작돼 추가 발매된다.

당시 3000장 한정판으로 제작된 LP판은 고 신해철의 유작 ‘웰컴 투 리얼 월드’를 비롯해 총 3곡의 유작과 ‘더 늦기 전에’, ‘그저 걷고 있는 거지’, ‘길 위에서’, ‘힘을 내’ 등 생전 팬들이 좋아하던 고인의 숨어 있는 명곡까지 총 40곡이 수록, 여기에 해외를 넘나들며 제작 과정만 6개월이 걸린 높은 퀄리티에 소장 가치 높은 명반으로 평가 받았다.

하지만 오랜 제작 기간 및 여건상 추가 제작은 없을 것이란 소식이 전해진 후에도 팬들의 지속적인 러브콜이 끊이지 않았고 이에 CD로 특별히 추가 제작을 결정, 팬들의 아쉬움을 조금이나마 달랠 전망이다.

또한 이번 CD 발매와 더불어 고 신해철의 생전 모습을 재연한 ‘웰컴 투 리얼 월드’ 스페셜 뮤직비디오도 함께 공개될 예정이라 기대를 모은다. 특히 뮤직비디오에는 CG작업을 통해 고인의 눈짓, 입모양까지 움직이는 효과로 실제 살아 있는 듯한 모습을 완성해 내 더욱 이목을 사로 잡는다.


Welcome To The Real World 곡 소개

신해철의 유작중 작년 연말에 방송을 탔던 1분 30초 짜리 데모가 풀버젼으로 완성되어 그의 1주기를 맞이 하여 세상에 빛을 보게 되었다
김세황의 록 기타 사운드와 미국에서 활동중인 스트링 편곡가 박인영이 편곡한 스트링이 주를 이룬 신해철 특유의 웅장하고 풍부한 사운드의 록 곡이다.
일반적으로 퍼스트 바이올린이 메인을 이루지만 이 곡에선 세컨드 바이올린과 비올라가 .메인으로 이루어져서 더욱 풍부한 사운드를 연출 해냈다
드럼은 롤스네어가 곡의 전체 흐름을 타고, 달리는 느낌으로 연주 하고 있고 보컬은 신해철과 넥스트유나이티드에서 트윈보컬을 하던 이현섭이 함께 했으며 넥스트의 멤버인 제이드가 베이스를 연주 했다
가사 내용은 이제 세상에 발을 내딛는 10대 후반의 청소년들에게 현실세계에 대한 두려움을 갖지 말고 노력하며 맞서 나가라는 희망적인 메시지를 담고 있다
특히 생전에 친척인 서태지와 이 곡에 대한 교감을 나눈 것으로 알려져서 막바지 작업때 곡의 완성을 위해 서태지의 조언이 있었던 것으로 알려져 있다.


I Want It All 곡 소개

신해철이 작년에 발표 했던 I Want It All 데모버젼이 완성된 편곡 으로 발표 됐다. 데모에 있던 기타와 베이스는 넥스트의 멤버인 김세황과 제이드의 연주로 완성됐다. 특히 인트로 부분의 신해철의 나레이션은 14테라 용량의 고인의 컴퓨터 하드 드라이브속에서 그의 어시스턴트 엔지니어가 우연히 찾아내어 완성 시켰다.
강력한 기타 사운드와 폭발적인 드럼 사운드에 웅장한 스트링 그리고 신해철과 이현섭의 3옥타브를 넘나드는 파워 넘치는 보컬로 이루어진 곡이다. 2절 후렴 반복부분에는 생시에 신해철이 공연때 관중들이 따라 하는 합창을 녹음 해서 삽입 하려 했으나 갑자기 세상을 떠나는 바람에 올봄에 넥스트의 팬클럽인 철기군의 회원들이 자발적으로 녹음실에 모여서 합창을 녹음 해서 곡을 완성 시켜서 합창 부분을 들으면 가슴이 뭉클해 진다.
