어느덧 6년 차의 뮤지션이 된 로이킴의 새 해가 시작되었다.
데뷔 이래, 한국과 미국에서 음악과 학업 무엇 하나 소홀하지 않으며, 천천히 또 빠르게 흘러간 그의 시간은 지난 해, 스물 다섯 가장 아름다운 '개화기'를 보내고 또 한 해를 맞았다.

로이킴이 2018년 처음으로 내놓는 곡은 그가 직접 작사 작곡 한 "그때 헤어지면 돼" .
제목과는 다르게 헤어지는 그 때 조차 내가 정하겠다는, 결국엔 헤어질 수 없는 우리의 사이를 이야기하는 다소 이기적이기도 한 남자의 애절한 마음을 표현 했다.
나얼의 "같은 시간 속의 너", "기억의 빈자리" 를 비롯해, 브라운아이드소울, 윤종신, 성시경 등 국내 최고의 남자 보컬리스트들과 함께 작업한 작곡가 강화성이 편곡을 맡았으며, 기타리스트 홍준호, 베이시스트 최훈의 연주를 더해 완성했다.
