- A cheeky story told by seven witches on behalf of all the weirdos in the world.

The 4th generation representative theme idol group 'PURPLE KISS', who have been building their own identity with a 'Freaky' concept and unique tone for each album, will release their 4th mini album [Geekyland] on July 25, 2022.

This album [Geekyland] means 'a world where geeks live', and it contains the message that those who were marginalized for being different from others should no longer hide in 'Geekyland', but step out into the world and 'in the end, it is we who will change the world'. In the 3rd mini album [memeM], the seven witches who wanted to stand in front of people open the doors of their hearts with nerds and confidently reveal 'us'.

The title track, "Nerdy," carries a bold message representing all the weirdos in the world. The uptempo track, with its addictive bass sound and classic strings, delivers a sophisticated sound. It tells the special story of "no matter what anyone says, I will love myself more than anyone else and live my life true to myself," portrayed in PURPLE KISS' signature style.

PURPLE KISS has released a series of story films with a fantasy fairy tale mood that are filled with even more gorgeous mise-en-scène and witty storytelling. Seven eccentric witches who felt a kinship after listening to the stories of marginalized 'nerds' who have been bullied by 'Bully' reveal their painful pasts together, comfort each other, and contain the album's theme of 'stepping out into the world confidently' in three stories. The music video that follows boldly depicts the series of events in which the witches, angry at a broadcast program that portrays marginalized beings negatively, go on to destroy the broadcast station themselves and spread their voices to the world.

In addition to this, it starts with 'Intro: Bye Bye Bully' which is impressive with the freaky and spooky mood of PURPLE KISS, 'FireFlower' of the moombahton genre which approaches with an even more intense temperature like a blue flame, 'Can't stop dreamin'' which is a PURPLE KISS version of the song that was revealed as member Ire's debut trailer, 'Love Is Dead' which has a strong sound that expresses 'my love with you is over' with the members' unique vocal singing style, and 'SuMMer RaiN' which is a ballad that compares the feeling of missing the person who cannot accept the breakup and is separated to summer rain.

이번 앨범 [Geekyland]는 '괴짜들이 사는 세상'이라는 뜻으로, 남들과 다르다는 이유로 소외되었던 존재들이 더 이상 'Geekyland'에 숨지 않고 세상 밖으로 한 발짝 나아가 '결국 세상을 변화시키는 것은 우리다'라는 메시지를 담아냈다. 미니 3집 [memeM]에서 사람들 앞에 나서고 싶던 일곱 마녀가 너드(Nerd)들과 함께 마음의 문을 열고 당당하게 '우리'를 드러내고자 한다.

타이틀곡 'Nerdy'는 이 세상 모든 괴짜들을 대변하는 당찬 메시지를 담아냈다. 중독성 있는 베이스 사운드와 클래식한 스트링이 고급스럽게 들리는 업템포 곡으로, '누가 뭐라 하든 누구보다도 나를 사랑하고, 나답게 살겠다'는 특별한 이야기를 퍼플키스(PURPLE KISS)만의 스타일로 그려냈다.

퍼플키스(PURPLE KISS)는 더욱더 화려해진 미장센과 위트 있는 스토리텔링이 담긴 판타지 동화 같은 무드의 스토리 필름을 연이어 공개했다. 'Bully'에게 괴롭힘 당해온 소외된 '너드(Nerd)'들의 이야기를 들어주다 동질감을 느낀 괴짜 일곱 마녀가 함께 아픈 과거를 털어놓고, 서로를 위로하며 '세상 밖으로 당당하게 나서자'는 앨범의 주제를 3편의 이야기로 담아냈다. 이어지는 뮤직비디오에선 마녀들이 소외된 존재들을 부정적으로 표현하는 방송 프로그램에 화가 나, 직접 방송국을 엉망으로 만들며 우리들의 목소리가 온 세상에 퍼지게 하는 일련의 과정을 발칙하게 풀어냈다.
