"WHY NOT ME?" is NINA's second mini-album, featuring the growth story of NINA, who eventually discovers herself through love.

From the excitement and push-and-pull of first love, through the anxiety and hurt of wavering in a relationship, and past regret and separation, until finally realizing how to love oneself.
The six tracks flow along with the various emotions of love, ultimately completing a youth narrative of a girl growing up.

In this album, NINA sings about the process of discovering her true self through the experience of love, rather than a story about loving someone.
Facing her emotions—sometimes bold and playful, sometimes honest and composed—it captured the purest and most realistic feelings a girl can experience, just as they are.

Musically, centering on Contemporary R&B, the album organically traverses various genres such as Hip-Hop, Pop, Swing EDM, Alternative Pop, and Ballad, expressing the changing emotional arcs in a three-dimensional way across each track. Producer Lee Hyun-seung, who has created numerous hit songs including EXO's "CALL ME BABY," Ailee's "Show You," Davichi's "8282," Kim Tae-woo's "Love Rain," and Baek Ji-young's "Don't Forget Me," spent about a year working with NINA to deeply study her voice, emotions, and individuality, completing music that captures NINA's unique color rather than following trends. "WHY NOT ME?" is an album that embodies NINA's unique musical identity born from this process. Through collaboration between Korean and international producers, it harmoniously blends the distinctive sensibility of K-POP with a global pop sound, while NINA's clear and distinctive vocals bind the entire album together into a single narrative.

Furthermore, by producing both Korean and Chinese versions, it was completed as a global project targeting both the Korean and Greater China markets simultaneously, and is a meaningful work that demonstrates NINA's musical potential and her first step as a global artist.

여섯 개의 트랙은 사랑의 다양한 감정을 따라 흐르면서도 결국 한 소녀가 성장해 가는 하나의 청춘 서사를 완성한다.

이번 앨범에서 NINA는 누군가를 사랑하는 이야기보다, 사랑이라는 경험을 통해 진짜 자신의 모습을 발견해 가는 과정을 노래한다.
