“우리만의 축제를 여는거야”나상현씨밴드 EP [축제]
나상현씨밴드의 음악에는 언제나 '우리'가 있다. 마냥 즐겁지만은 않은 세상 속에서 살아가는 우리가 할 수 있는 것은 서로를 보며 버텨내는 것이라고 말한다. 정규 2집 [2021] 이후 2년 만에 앨범 단위의 음악으로 돌아온 나상현씨밴드는 이러한 메시지를 더욱 공고히 하며 “우리만의 축제를 열자”고 전한다.
EP [축제]는 지금껏 나상현씨밴드가 보여주었던 다양한 시도들이 더욱 정돈된 모습으로 담겨있다. 싱글로 먼저 선보였던 “Love Love Love", "찬란”, “노래나 부를까”와 함께 시원한 팝펑크 사운드를 보여주는 “With You"와 ”어떤 하루“, 포크 사운드를 통해 팝으로의 확장을 보여주는 “사이”, 샘플링의 활용이 인상적인 “그늘”과 나상현씨밴드식 음악의 정수를 담고있는 “축제”까지, 2023년의 나상현씨밴드를 가장 잘 보여주는 8곡을 만나볼 수 있다.
