Minimani's debut song 'Stop' is an ambitious work by Jaylin, a composer who is recognized for his unique musicality. In particular, the lyrics of 'Stop' are a song with a dramatic narrative, and contain the content to stop now, such as school violence, workplace violence, and domestic violence, which are emerging as social issues.The lyrics contain meaningful content, but I added the 70's Euro disco music style with an easily accessible beat in the hope that it will spread widely to all the public from the 10s to the 50s.
In the process of producing the song, various samples were used to reproduce the retro sound, and in particular, a brass line was added to make it unique. 뜨겁게 타오르는 디스코 열풍과 함께 미니마니의 데뷔곡 ‘멈춰’는 독특한 음악성으로 인정받는 작곡가 제이린의 야심찬 작품이다. 특히 ‘멈춰’의 가사는 드라마틱한 서사를 담은 곡으로 사회적 이슈로 떠오르고 있는 학교폭력, 직장폭력, 가정폭력 등 이제 그만 멈추라는 내용을 담고 있다.가사는 의미심장한 내용을 담고 있지만 10대부터 50대까지 모든 대중들에게 널리 퍼지길 바라는 마음에 쉽게 다가갈 수 있는 비트의 70년대 유로 디스코 음악 스타일을 추가하였다.
곡 제작 과정에는 복고 사운드를 재현하기 위해 여러 가지 샘플이 사용 되었으며, 특히 브라스 라인을 넣어 유니크한 점을 살렸다. 중간중간에 나오는 ‘무야호’ 라는 단어를 사용해 그 (폭력을 가하는 자)들로부터 벗어나길 바라는 마음과 벗어난다면 날아갈 것 같이 기쁠 것 같다는 마음을 표현 하였다. 코러스 파트에서 한을 품은 듯 외치는 ‘무야호’는 이 곡의 킬링 포인트다.
