"Love Me" isn't simply a story about overcoming loneliness. It doesn't strive to erase the character's loneliness, nor does it push them toward dramatic tragedy. Rather, it examines the loneliness that exists in everyone, and the love that begins only when we acknowledge that loneliness.
“When I’m alone, I feel lonely because I’m alone, and when I’m with someone, I feel lonely because I’m afraid of being alone.” This drama humorously and thoughtfully shows how universal loneliness is and how that feeling can be transformed into something called love.

"Love Me" crafts the characters' emotions and relationships through a variety of textual devices, including radio broadcasts, narration, letters, and messages. Rather than directly expressing their feelings, the characters leave their emotions in silence and space. This structure is more clearly revealed when read as text than when viewed on film.
This script collection delves into the inner workings and emotions of the characters, something not seen in the original film, in greater detail. Moments of hesitation omitted between scenes, silences that leave viewers with questions, and monologues pushed offscreen are meticulously brought to life by the two writers.

The Seo family of three is left behind after their mother's death. While mourning her passing, this family, each faithful to their own emotions, can sometimes seem selfish and uncomfortable. However, through being honest about their loneliness, they come to understand the loneliness of others. This drama confronts the different faces of love, the different wounds, and the fracturing and shattering reality of love across generations—20s, 30s, 50s. This drama is closer to a documentary examining the birth, aging, illness, and death of love than to its perfection.

Furthermore, excerpts from Jeong Hyang's books, "A Moment Like This" and "Quiet Between," which are crucial materials for the drama, are included, allowing readers to directly encounter the prose the characters read and wrote. Exploring these unseen stories will provide a deeper understanding of the world of "Love Me."
