GK has returned with his second EP album, [G.Race].

If his first EP, [G.Round: Pre-Debut EP Album], demonstrated his ambition to create his own turn (G's Round) starting from the ground, [G.Race] is an album that captures the race (Race) GK actually began afterward, along with the grace (Grace) received during that process.
In this album, the 'Race' he speaks of does not merely refer to a race to reach the summit faster than anyone else. It encompasses the burden and anxiety felt in a life where one must constantly run, the pressure regarding money, emotions concerning relationships and love, and even the moments when one sometimes no longer wants to push through. GK has honestly captured the time he is currently going through within these five songs.
GK currently leads JJ Music Group, personally managing not only his own artistic activities but also music production, A&R, artist development, and various music projects. His life, navigating between the stage and the world of music production and artist discovery while running a company, is naturally woven throughout the album [G.Race].
GK participated in writing the lyrics and composing all the songs on [G.Race], and also personally handled the vocal directing and recording for all of them. Longtime musical partner SINGKI, along with REDIC and Ruiz, participated in the production, while HANSE, OMEGA X Yechan, and JinE participated as featured artists, adding different colors to the stories of each track.
This album draws closer to the actual time GK is living as an artist and producer. Rather than showcasing success, he recorded the emotions he faced during that process through music, without hiding them.

Don't Try So Hard
"Don't Try to Be Strong" is a song that reverses the common comfort of "stay strong." Rather than telling someone who is already holding on enough to muster up strength again, it offers the comfort that it is okay to do nothing, at least for today.

02. Because of Money (feat. HANSE) TITLE
Money on My Mind (feat. HANSE)
'Because of Money (feat. HANSE)' confronts the weight of a realistic life head-on. It portrays the image of a person who cannot sleep because of money and must keep running because of the responsibilities they have to bear, using GK's signature straightforward language. HANSE participated in both the lyrics and composition, expressing the pressure and thirst for reality through their distinct vocal colors.

03. I Guess This Is the Best (feat. Yechan of OMEGA X)
Guess I Did My Best (feat. Yechan of OMEGA X)
'I Guess It's Your Best (feat. Yechan of OMEGA X)' tells the story of a relationship that doesn't go as planned despite having done one's best. It is a song where resignation and lingering regret coexist, reflecting the feeling that one has done everything they could, and the participation of OMEGA X's Yechan as a featured artist further deepens the emotional depth.

04. It's Okay to Cry TITLE
Tear is Nothing
"It's Okay to Cry" most directly demonstrates the comfort this album aims to convey. It tells those accustomed to pretending to be okay that they don't need to hold back their tears, choosing a method of quietly staying by their side rather than offering grandiose consolation.

Not Yet (feat. JinE)
"Still (feat. JinE)" lightly refreshes the album's weight. It is an easy-listening track that captures the excitement of wanting to keep approaching someone you like, even while knowing it is still a bit too early, and having to tell yourself "whoa whoa" just by seeing their face because your heart races. With the addition of JinE's vocals, it brings the album to a bright and refreshing close.

지케이(GK)가 두 번째 EP 앨범 [G.Race]로 돌아왔다.

첫 번째 EP [G.Round: Pre-Debut EP Album]을 통해 바닥(Ground)에서부터 자신의 차례(G's Round)를 만들어가겠다는 포부를 보여줬다면, [G.Race]는 그 이후 실제로 시작된 지케이(GK)의 레이스(Race), 그리고 그 과정에서 받은 은혜(Grace)를 함께 담아낸 앨범이다.
이번 앨범에서 그가 말하는 'Race'는 누구보다 빨리 정상에 도착하기 위한 경주만을 뜻하지 않는다. 계속해서 달려야 하는 삶 속에서 느끼는 부담과 불안, 돈에 대한 압박, 관계와 사랑에 대한 감정, 그리고 때로는 더 이상 힘내고 싶지 않은 순간까지. 지케이(GK)는 자신이 지나고 있는 시간을 다섯 곡 안에 솔직하게 담았다.
지케이(GK)는 현재 JJ Music Group을 이끌며 아티스트 활동뿐만 아니라 음악 제작, A&R, 아티스트 개발과 다양한 음악 프로젝트를 직접 전개하고 있다. 직접 음악을 만들고 아티스트를 발굴하는 동시에 하나의 음악 회사를 운영하며 무대 안팎을 오가고 있는 그의 삶 역시 [G.Race] 앨범 곳곳에 자연스럽게 녹아 있다.
지케이(GK)는 [G.Race]의 전곡 작사 및 작곡에 참여했으며, 전곡의 보컬 디렉팅과 레코딩 역시 직접 맡았다. 오랜 음악적 파트너인 SINGKI를 비롯해 REDIC, Ruiz가 프로덕션에 참여했으며, HANSE, OMEGA X Yechan, JinE가 피처링으로 참여해 각 트랙의 이야기에 서로 다른 색을 더했다.

'아직은 (feat.JinE)'은 앨범의 무게를 가볍게 환기한다. 아직은 조금 이르다는 걸 알면서도 좋아하는 사람에게 자꾸만 다가가고 싶고, 얼굴만 보면 마음이 앞서 스스로에게 “워워”를 외쳐야 하는 설렘을 담은 이지리스닝 트랙이다. JinE의 목소리가 더해지며 앨범의 마지막을 밝고 산뜻하게 마무리한다.
