Description (Translated):

"From Hongdae to Sinchon, on to Incheon"
Garion's 'No Way Out' contains MC Meta's lyrics, "From Hongdae and Sinchon to Incheon, and then..." This is a record of the time that has flowed from the beginning of Korean hip-hop, symbolized by the "hip-hop rhythm laid out from Hongdae to Sinchon," to the present day in Incheon.
Over the course of nearly 30 years, Korean hip-hop has undergone numerous changes, and Garion has always been at its center. Although there were long hiatuses, they never left the genre. MC Meta and Nachal have continued to write lyrics and contemplate music, accumulating their own unique time.
The most notable change in this fourth album is the credit "All Tracks Produced by MC Meta." Leaving behind his past work with various overseas and domestic producers, MC Meta returned to Garion's roots and personally created every beat.
This is also a return to his roots, back when he was making beats even before his debut.
The keyword that runs through the album is 'Vintage'. Jazzy hip-hop beats and
The sound, harmonizing with real instrument performances, aims for music that deepens the longer you listen, rather than flashy trends. The sound, perfected with musicians who have been together for a long time, naturally captures the years the two members have lived.
The song length of less than three minutes and the verses that follow only once are Garion's response and experiment to the current music environment. As unnecessary words have been stripped away, the lyrics are more refined, and the improvised hook blends naturally without disrupting the overall atmosphere of the album.
The two members, now in their 50s on average, do not boast about or despise anyone. Instead, they calmly talk about life, time, and reality. It is a perspective made possible by Garion, who were with the beginning of Korean hip-hop.
In particular, the flow leading from 'To J,' a tribute to longtime colleague Seo Jae-min (saatan), to 'Time of My Life' conveys a resonance that only someone who has lived a long time can deliver. Therefore, Garion's fourth album is not just a simple hip-hop album, but the passage of time
Poom is 'adult hip-hop'.

“홍대, 신촌을 지나 인천으로”
가리온의 'No Way Out'에는 MC 메타의 “홍대 신촌서 인천, 그다음은” 이라는 가사가 담겨 있다. 이는 '홍대에서 신촌까지 깔아놓은 힙합 리듬' 으로 상징되던 한국 힙합의 시작과, 지금 인천에 이르기까지 흘러온 시간의 기록이다.
30년 가까운 세월 동안 한국 힙합은 수많은 변화를 겪었고, 그 중심에는 늘 가리온이 있었다. 긴 공백도 있었지만 힙합을 떠난 적은 없었다. MC 메타와 나찰은 계속 가사를 쓰고 음악을 고민하며 자신들만의 시간을 축적해왔다.
이번 4집에서 가장 눈에 띄는 변화는 'All Tracks Produced by MC 메타'라는 크레디트다. 해외와 국내의 다양한 프로듀서들과 작업했던 과거를 뒤로하고, MC 메타는 가리온의 출발점으로 돌아가 직접 모든 비트를 만들었다.
이는 데뷔 이전부터 비트를 만들던 자신의 원점으로의 회귀이기도 하다.
앨범을 관통하는 키워드는 'Vintage'다. 재지한 힙합 비트와
리얼 악기 연주가 어우러진 사운드는 화려한 유행보다 오래 들을수록 깊어지는 음악을 지향한다. 오랜 시간 함께한 연주자들과 완성한 사운드는 자연스럽게 두 멤버가 살아온 세월을 담아낸다.
3분이 채 되지 않는 곡 길이와 한 번씩만 이어지는 버스(verse)는 현재의 음악 환경에 대한 가리온의 응답이자 실험이다. 불필요한 말을 덜어낸 만큼 가사는 더욱 정제되었고, 즉흥적으로 만든 훅은 앨범 전체의 분위기를 해치지 않으며 자연스럽게 녹아든다.
이제 평균 50대가 된 두 멤버는 누군가를 과시하거나 혐오하지 않는다. 대신 삶과 시간, 현실을 담담하게 이야기한다. 한국 힙합의 시작을 함께했던 가리온이기에 가능한 시선이다.
특히 오랜 동료 서재민(saatan)을 추모하는 'j에게'에서 'time of my life'로 이어지는 흐름은 긴 시간을 살아온 사람만이 들려줄 수 있는 울림을 전한다. 그래서 가리온의 4집은 단순한 힙합 앨범이 아니라, 세월을
품은 '어른의 힙합'이다.
