Hongki Lee, the vocalist of the band FT Island, has released his second solo album in about three years.

The album name 'DO n DO', which means 'do it again and again', reflects Lee Hongki's attitude in life itself, always taking on challenges without hesitation, whether alone or with friends. It contains the colorful music world of Lee Hong-ki, who always challenges freely without being constrained somewhere.

This album was filled with colorful sounds supported by talented musicians like Hongki Lee, aka 'Hongstar Crew'. The title song 'COOKIES' of the refreshing future pop genre was co-composed by Lee Hong-ki and BTOB's Jung Il-hoon. Lee Hong-ki's soft vocals and Jung Il-hoon's firm rapping create a sensuous harmony. Conceived from the cookie video in the movie, 'COOKIES' contains the meaning of looking forward to the next page of freedom that we will create in life, just as we look forward to the next series of the movie while watching the cookie video. Lee Hong-gi, who always dreams of a movie-like life and is living such a life, honestly portrays the direction of his life he thinks.

밴드 FT아일랜드의 보컬 이홍기가 3년여 만에 두 번째 솔로 앨범을 발표했다.

‘하고 또 한다’는 의미의 앨범명 ‘DO n DO’는 혼자일 때도, 친구들과 함께일 때도 항상 망설임 없이 도전하는 이홍기의 삶의 자세 그 자체를 반영한다. 늘 어딘가에 구속 받지 않고 자유롭게 도전하는 이홍기의 다채로운 음악 세계를 담았다.

이번 앨범은 이홍기와 뜻이 맞는 실력파 뮤지션들, 일명 ‘홍스타 크루’가 지원 사격해 컬러풀한 사운드로 가득 채웠다. 청량한 퓨처 팝 장르의 타이틀곡 ‘COOKIES’는 이홍기와 비투비의 정일훈이 함께 작곡한 곡으로, 이홍기의 부드러운 보컬과 정일훈의 단단한 래핑이 감각적인 조화를 이룬다. 영화에 나오는 쿠키영상에서 착안한 ‘COOKIES’는 쿠키영상을 보며 영화의 다음 시리즈를 기대하듯 인생에서도 우리가 만들어갈 자유로운 다음 페이지를 기대하라는 의미를 담았다. 늘 영화 같은 삶을 꿈꾸고, 그런 삶을 이뤄가고 있는 이홍기 스스로가 생각하는 인생의 방향에 대해 솔직하게 그렸다.

타이틀곡 외에도 선공개곡 ‘I AM’에서는 래퍼 치타가 리듬감 있는 보컬로 힘을 실었고, 수록곡 ‘모닥불’에서는 래퍼 딘딘이, ‘COME TO ME’에서는 SF9의 주호가 피처링에 나서 더욱 풍성한 음악을 완성했다. 이 외에도 혼자만의 감성을 오롯이 드러내는 ‘YELLOW’ ‘GOOD NIGHT’까지 총 여섯 곡이 담겼다.
