The renewed EXID is back with their 3rd mini album < Eclipse >.

<Eclipse>, which means solar eclipse and lunar eclipse, is an album that expresses EXID, which has changed into a new look, by comparing it to a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse, boldly breaking away from the existing image of EXID, which has been shown from top to bottom and LIE.
The 5-member EXID is reconstructed into a 4-member group due to member Solji's vacancy, and it is hidden for a while like a lunar eclipse, but it contains the double meaning that eventually it will shine again as a whole.
The changes introduced through this album go beyond simple genre changes, and also show musical changes of each member.
Through this, it is not a form to fill the vacancy of Solji, but a meaningful result that has been completed by focusing on new expectations through change.
It is regrettable that member Solji is empty, but through this mini-album, it seems that we can expect a new look of EXID, including Solji, in the next album.

1.Boy
This song, in the form of an interlude of the title song 'Night rather than Day', is progressed using the vocalist Boy. It is a trip hop genre song with an outstanding lead synth line.
The lyrics that well express the feelings of being left alone at night are impressive.

2. Night rather than day
The title song of the mini-album Eclipse, 'Night rather than Day', is an Up Tempo R&B song with sympathetic lyrics and rhythmic melody.
Each member's voice color and singing method are clearly distinguished, so each individual's personality is well revealed. 'Night Rather than Day' creates a unique atmosphere with a combination of modern and vintage sounds.

새로워진 EXID가 세 번째 미니앨범 < Eclipse >로 돌아왔다.

일식, 월식을 뜻하는 < Eclipse >는 위아래부터 L.I.E까지 보여준 EXID의 기존 이미지를 과감히 탈피하여, 새로운 모습으로 변화한 EXID를 일식과 월식에 비유하여 표현한 앨범이다.
5인조의 EXID가 멤버 솔지의 빈자리로 인해 4인조로 재구성돼 월식처럼 잠시 가려지지만, 결국 다시 완전체로 빛을 발할 것이라는 이중적 의미를 담고 있다.
이번 앨범을 통해 선보이는 변화는 단순히 장르적 변화를 넘어서 각 멤버들의 음악적 변화도 선보이고 있다.
이를 통해 솔지의 빈자리를 채우는 형태가 아닌, 변화를 통한 새로운 기대감에 초점을 맞추어 완성된 의미 있는 결과물을 선보인다.
멤버 솔지의 빈자리가 아쉽지만 이번 미니앨범을 통해 다음 앨범에는 솔지를 포함한 완전체 EXID의 새로워진 모습도 기대할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

1. Boy
타이틀곡인 ‘낮보다는 밤’의 인터루드 형태의 이 곡은 Boy라는 보컬을 활용하여 진행된다. 리드 신스라인이 돋보이는 Trip Hop 장르 곡으로, 멤버들의 보이스와 감정전달에 초점을 맞추어 간결한 사운드로 전개된다.
밤이 되어 혼자 남았을 때의 심경을 잘 표현한 가사가 인상적이다.

2. 낮보다는 밤
미니앨범 Eclipse의 타이틀곡인 ‘낮보다는 밤’은 공감되는 가사와 리드미컬한 멜로디가 돋보이는 업템포알앤비(Up Tempo R&B) 곡이다.

마음은 이미 떠났지만 이별하자는 말을 꺼내지 못하고 이별을 유도하는 남자에게 "어떻게? 왜?"라는 의문으로, 갈 거면 네가 가라는 내용을 담고 있다.
EDM의 전형적인 구성인 드랍(Drop)이 돋보이는 이 곡은 영화 ‘친구’의 유행어인 “니가 가라 하와이”를 재해석해 표현한 후렴구가 인상적이다.

4. 우유 (하니 SOLO)
복면가왕과 정규앨범 < STREET >의 수록곡 'Hello'를 통해 독특한 보이스와 매력적인 중저음을 보여준 하니의 새로운 솔로곡 '우유'는 온라인 프로모션을 통해 사전에 공개되어 기대감을 자아낸 곡이다.
