Since their debut in April 2019, DONGKIZ, who has been loved for their steady activities, challenging and digesting various concepts and independent music atmosphere, has returned with the freshness of spring and the joy of summer.
The theme of the series episode album starting this time is 'CHASE' to pursue something, and it consists of a total of three stories dealing with the growth of boys. The first theme that DONGKIZ pursues is 'dream', and the album 'CHASE EPISODE 1. GGUM' released on July 1 uniquely expresses 'dream' in Korean instead of the English word 'Dream'. This also shows the concept of DONGKIZ, which rejects conventional notions, and in the next album, we will talk about various themes that you will experience when you grow up, such as love and breakup after passing by a boy who pursues a dream.
The title song 'CRAZY NIGHT' of DONGKIZ's 5th Single Album, released on July 1st, is a song produced by Cray bin, a rising new producer. It is a song that anyone can easily enjoy with an exciting beat and a funky bass line. It has a unique title derived from a proverb. It is a song with a meaning to live.
In terms of performance, choreographer Choi Young-joon, who has worked as a choreography trainer for the Produce series and has been in charge of the choreography for top Korean artists such as Seventeen, GOT7, Wanna One, NU'EST, and The Boyz, collaborated with DONGKIZ for the first time. The choreography that expresses 'horns on the hip' is original, and they plan to dominate the stage with more excitement with performances that seem to play like mischief.
In addition, following the 2019 album 'BlockBuster', DONGKIZ's mascot character ghost 'Dongle', who will decorate the stage together in two years, is also a welcome addition. Going on a cool summer hunt with the members, we plan to catch the fun of watching and listening to the stage at the same time.
In addition, DONGKIZ, which has recorded special tracks for fans on each CD, prepared a version of Kyung-yoon's 'Special Thanks to' for this album. Taking advantage of his proficiency in playing the guitar, the title song 'In the ass of a bad calf'

2019년 4월 데뷔 이후 독자적인 음악 분위기와 다양한 컨셉들을 도전하고 소화하며 꾸준한 활동으로 사랑받는 DONGKIZ가 봄의 청량함에 이어 여름의 유쾌함으로 돌아왔다.
이번에 시작되는 시리즈 에피소드 앨범의 주제는 무언가를 좇는 ‘CHASE’ 이며 소년들의 성장을 다룬 총 3가지의 스토리로 구성되어 있다. DONGKIZ가 좇게 되는 첫번째 주제는 바로 ‘꿈’ 이며, 7월 1일 발매되는 앨범 ‘CHASE EPISODE 1. GGUM’ 은 한글 ‘꿈’을 ‘Dream’ 이라는 영문 단어 대신 한글 발음 그대로 독특하게 표현하였다. 이 또한 통상적인 관념을 거부하는 DONGKIZ의 컨셉을 보여주고 있으며 이어지는 앨범에서는 꿈을 좇는 소년을 지나 사랑과 이별 등 성장을 하게 되면 겪게 되는 다양한 주제에 대하여 이야기 할 예정이다.
7월 1일 발매되는 DONGKIZ 5TH Single Album의 타이틀 곡 ‘못된 송아지 엉덩이에 뿔 (CRAZY NIGHT)’은 주목받고 있는 신예 프로듀서 Cray bin이 프로듀싱을 맡은 곡이다. 신나는 비트에 펑키한 베이스 라인으로 누구나 쉽게 즐길 수 있는 노래이며 속담에서 유래한 독특한 제목으로 일상의 평범함과 지루함을 거부하는 장난꾸러기가 되어 보자는 유쾌하고 재밌는 가사로 힘든 삶 속에서 잠시라도 하고 싶은 대로 살자는 뜻을 가진 곡이다.
퍼포먼스로는 프로듀스 시리즈의 안무 트레이너로 활동하며 세븐틴, GOT7, 워너원, 뉴이스트, 더 보이즈 등 국내 최정상 아티스트의 안무를 도맡아 왔던 최영준 안무가가 DONGKIZ와 처음으로 합을 맞췄다. ‘엉덩이에 뿔’을 표현한 안무가 독창적이며 개구쟁이처럼 뛰어노는듯한 퍼포먼스로 더욱 신나게 무대를 장악할 예정이다.
또한 2019년 앨범 ‘BlockBuster’에 이어 2년만에 함께 무대를 꾸밀 DONGKIZ의 마스코트 캐릭터 유령 ‘동글이’도 반가운 합류를 한다. 멤버들과 함께 시원한 여름 사냥에 나서서 무대를 보는 재미와 듣는 재미를 동시에 잡을 예정이다.
더불어 매번 CD에 팬들을 위한 스페셜 트랙을 수록했던 DONGKIZ가 이번 앨범에는 경윤의 'Special Thanks to' 버전을 준비했다. 기타 연주에 능숙한 본인의 장점을 살려 타이틀 곡 ‘못된 송아지 엉덩이에
뿔’을 어쿠스틱 버전으로 연주하였으며 그에 맞춰 팬들에게 느끼는 고마움을 음성 편지로 담았다.
