이번 다이아의 5번째 미니 앨범 [NEWTRO]는 ‘새로운’이라는 뜻의 ‘NEW’와 복고라는 뜻의 ‘RETRO’의 합성어로 새로운 복고를 탄생시킬 다이아의 팔색조 매력을 볼 수 있는 다양한 장르의 5곡을 수록했다.

갖고 싶을 만큼 멋진 것을 보았을 때 감탄사가 절로 나오는 것처럼 보기만 해도 ‘우와’할 만큼 ‘우아한 너’를 노래한 타이틀곡 ‘우와’는 다이아의 데뷔 곡 ‘왠지’와 지난 해 여름을 강타하며 데뷔 후 음악방송 첫 1위를 차지한 곡 ‘우우(WooWoo)’를 프로듀싱 한 작곡가 신사동 호랭이의 곡이다.
