[REAL] is an album situated on a timeline that blurs the boundaries of the present, intertwined with memory and imagination, expectation and longing. Between the moments of looking back on past love and the times yet to come, we sometimes miss the present moment, which ought to be the most 'real'.
Within the moments of love that cannot be clearly defined, time—where it is not even clearly distinguished what is the beginning and where is the end, or whether the emotion felt now is a memory or an expectation—is freely intersected and endlessly varied within a single album.

At the same time, [REAL] is an album where artist Shinwoo reveals himself most honestly through music. Taking a step further from his accumulated musical experience, he unfolds his story in the way he most wishes to express himself at this moment. Centered on R&B, he traverses various textures and moods, freely displaying his musical sensibilities across vocals, melody, and sound.

Therefore, the 'REAL' in [REAL] does not simply mean "real." It signifies showing one's true self, while simultaneously addressing Shinwoo's question of what exactly is real. Music that feels unfamiliar yet has become clearer because he has shed his familiar image. Within this, Shinwoo encounters a new point where his own world begins, situated between the music he has passed through and the music he will create in the future.

Standing momentarily paused somewhere between the past that has passed and the future that has not yet arrived, [REAL] is the first record that most honestly captures love, music, and the 'present' of artist Shinwoo.

[REAL]은 기억과 상상, 기대와 그리움이 뒤섞인 채 현재의 경계를 흐릿하게 만든 시간선 위에 놓여져있는 앨범이다. 지나간 사랑을 되돌아보는 순간과 아직 오지 않은 시간들 사이에서 우리는 때때로 가장 '진짜'여야 할 지금을 놓치기도 한다.
그렇게 명확히 정의할 수 없는 사랑의 순간들 속에서 무엇이 시작이고 어디가 끝인지, 지금 느끼는 감정이 기억인지 기대인지조차 선명하게 구분되지 않는 시간을 한 장의 앨범 안에서 자유롭게 교차하고 끊임없이 변주한다.

동시에 [REAL]은 아티스트 신우가 음악을 통해 가장 솔직하게 자신을 드러내는 앨범이기도 하다. 그동안 쌓아온 음악적 경험에서 한발 더 나아가, 지금의 신우가 가장 표현하고자 하는 방식으로 이야기 풀어냈다. R&B를 중심으로 다양한 질감과 분위기를 오가며, 보컬과 멜로디, 사운드에 이르기까지 신우가 가진 음악적 감각을 보다 자유롭게 펼쳐낸다.

그래서 [REAL]의 'REAL'은 단순히 진짜만을 의미하지 않는다. 진짜 나를 보여준다는 의미임과 동시에 과연 무엇이 진짜일까 하는 신우의 물음에 대한 말이기도 하다. 익숙했던 모습을 벗어났기에 낯설고 오히려 선명해진 음악. 그 안에서 신우는 자신이 지나온 음악과 앞으로 만들어갈 음악 사이, 자신만의 세계가 시작되는 새로운 지점을 마주한다.
