Jung Eunji's 3rd mini album 【Hyehwa(暳花)】

In April 2017, Jung Eun-ji, who filled the spring with her own music space and brought calm healing sensibility, makes a comeback with her third mini-album [Hyehwa] in about a year and a half.

[Hyehwa], the third album to meet through “Dream” and “Space”, means ‘a flower that sparkles with stars’, a word that preciously refers to the sparkling youth who are just blooming, and Jeong Eun-ji. It is an album like a collection of poems that sings a message toward 'youth' using the feelings, memories, and sensibilities felt in life as the stem.
In this album, Jung Eun-ji participated as the entire producer, fully melting the 26-year-old Jeong Eun-ji, and producer BEOMXNANG participated in the overall album production, maximizing Jeong Eun-ji's sensibility. In addition, outstanding writer Jin, such as singer-songwriter Sunwoo Jung-a and Soo-bin So, participated in the album to improve its perfection.

[Hyehwa(暳花)]'s title song 'How are you' is a song by Jung Eun-ji dedicated to all those who live away from their families. It started from Eunji Jeong's emotional line of living alone after leaving her family home, and expressed her longing for her parents with a song asking in a low voice, "How is it now, where I used to live?"
The song is completed with only an acoustic guitar and Jung Eun-ji's voice, with lyrics that capture the comfort of autumn and the loneliness felt among many people at the same time, comforting and communicating with everyone with a little more sincerity.

In addition to the title song, a sparkling flower, a song that opens the first chapter of the poetry collection [For the Stars Twinkling Flowers], [As the seasons change], which contains lyrics of consolation that winter passes and spring comes, someday I will break this box where I live [Box] with interesting content about whether we can go out, [I care] that cutely melts the anxious feelings of waiting for the other person, [B] with acoustic sensibility that goes well with rainy days, a song that comforts office workers who are absentmindedly on a tiring day. A total of 8 songs are included, including [Secretary Kim] and [Dawn], a self-composed song released at the last concert.

We become lonely with various emotions and thoughts in our lives, or even become happy. Jeong Eun-ji captured that emotion in a song and brought out the nostalgia that we might have at least one in us.
I hope that the songs in this album [Hyehwa (暳花)], which is filled with lyrics that are not forced and naturally sympathetic, or maybe even a wedding book, will not be awkward to approach as a little warm comfort in a busy and difficult world.

2017년 4월, 본인만의 음악 공간으로 봄을 채우며 잔잔한 힐링 감성을 가져다주었던 정은지가, 약 1년 6개월 만에 세 번째 미니앨범 【혜화(暳花)】로 컴백한다.

“꿈(Dream)”과 “공간”을 거쳐 세 번째로 만나는 앨범 【혜화(暳花)】는 ‘별 반짝이는 꽃’이라는 뜻으로 이제 막 꽃을 피우며 반짝이는 청춘들을 소중하게 지칭하는 말이자, 정은지가 삶에서 느꼈던 감정, 기억, 감성을 줄기로 삼아 ‘청춘’을 향한 메시지를 노래하는, 시집과도 같은 앨범이다.
이번 앨범엔 정은지가 전체 프로듀서로 참여하여 26살의 정은지를 충분히 녹였으며, 프로듀서 BEOMXNANG이 전체적인 앨범 제작 등에 참여, 정은지의 감성을 더 극대화해 주었다. 또한, 싱어송라이터 선우정아, 소수빈 등 뛰어난 작가 진이 앨범에 참여해 완성도를 높였다.

【혜화(暳花)】의 타이틀곡인 ‘어떤가요’는 가족을 떠나 살아가는 모든 사람에게 바치는 정은지의 노래다. 가족의 집을 떠나 홀로 생활하며 느끼는 정은지의 감정선에서 출발하였고, ‘나의 살던 곳, 그곳은 지금 어떤가요’라며 나지막이 묻는 노래로 부모님을 향한 그리움을 표현했다.
가을의 정취를 담아낸 편안함과 수많은 사람 속에서 느끼는 외로움을 동시에 담아낸 가사에, 어쿠스틱 기타와 정은지의 목소리만으로 완성된 곡이며, 조금 더 진정성 있게 모두를 위로하기도 하고, 소통하기도 한다.

타이틀곡 외에도 반짝이는 꽃, 시집의 첫 장을 여는 곡 【별 반짝이는 꽃을 위해】, 겨울이 지나고 봄이 온다는 위로의 가사를 담은 【계절이 바뀌듯】, 언제쯤이면 내가 살고 있는 이 상자를 깨고 나갈 수 있을까 하는 재미있는 내용을 담은 【상자】, 상대방을 기다리며 애태우는 감정을 귀엽게 녹여낸 【신경 쓰여요】, 비 오는 날과 어울리는 어쿠스틱 감성의 곡 【B】, 지친 하루에 멍하니 있는 직장인들을 위로하는 곡 【김비서】, 지난 콘서트 때 공개했던 자작곡 【새벽】까지 총 8곡이 수록되어 있다.

우리는 살면서 여러 감정과 생각들로 외로워지고, 또는 행복해지기도 한다. 그 감정을 정은지는 노래에 담아내어 우리 속에 하나씩은 가지고 있을법한 향수를 끄집어 냈다.
억지스럽지 않고 자연스럽게 공감되는 가사들로 채워진 이번 앨범, 아니 어쩌면 시집이라고 해도 어색하지 않을법한 이번 앨범 【혜화(暳花)】의 노래들이 바쁘고 힘든 세상 속에서 조금의 따듯한 위로로 다가가길 바라본다.
