너라는 세계가 나의 세계를 만날 때, 모든 것은 마법처럼 선명해진다. 신기한 일이다. 그다지 몸집이 크지도 눈부시도록 화려하지도 않은 너는 그저 살짝 미소 지으며 조심스레 한 발을 내디뎠을 뿐인데, 누가 와도 꿈쩍 않고 고집을 부리던 나의 세계는 머리끝부터 발끝까지 다른 옷으로 갈아입는다. 새로운 시신경을 선물 받은 것처럼 또렷해진 세상은 모조리 새롭다. 쳇바퀴처럼 돌던 집에 오는 길이 이렇게 아기자기했는지, 무감하게 바라보던 노을이 이토록 아름답게 매일 도시를 물들였는지 그제야 깨닫게 된다. 그뿐인가. 나의 세계를 성큼성큼 걷는 너의 걸음을 따라 태어나 처음 보는 꽃과 나무가 무수히 자라나고, 너의 작은 움직임 하나에 곳곳에 몸을 숨기고 있던 새와 작은 동물들이 날아든다. 너의 세계와 나의 세계의 만남은, 단순한 마주침이 아닌 완전히 새로운 시작이다.
