VAV, which has been active last year, expresses sophisticated modern chic through the mini album “Spotlight” with a high level of perfection. This album continues organic storytelling through the keywords at the opposite point, the light found in the darkness [Spotlight], the spectrum of that light [Gorgeous], and the nerve-wracking [Give It To Me]. , and [Winter Breeze], on the other hand, showcasing various forms of VAV. VAV, which has raised the public's expectations by presenting songs of various genres, plans to solidify VAV's unique musical color through this album "Spotlight", which was completed with delicate production, and show a brighter appearance.

Track 1 “Spotlight (光)”, the main title track of this album, is a minor chord dance pop based on Urban R&B, with elaborate beats, a groovy bassline, and synth flowing in between. Zir completes the monotone modern chic through sophisticated melodies. In particular, the narrative sketching “I reach out to the light that is you, and finally follow me” depicts the spotlight finally found in the heavy fog with a high degree of perfection.

지난해 활발한 활동을 펼쳐온 VAV가 미니앨범 “Spotlight”을 통해 세련된 모던시크 (Modern Chic) 를완성도 높게 표현해낸다. 이번 앨범은 대척점에 있는 키워드들을 통해 유기적 스토리텔링을 이어나가고 있는데, 어둠속에서 찾아낸 빛 [Spotlight], 그 빛의 스펙트럼 [예쁘다고 (Gorgeous)], 온 신경을 곤두세우게 만드는 [Give It To Me], 반면 정제된 감정을 눌러 담아낸 [Winter Breeze] 에 이르기까지 다양한 모습의 VAV를 선보이고 있다. 다양한 장르의 곡들을 선보이며 대중들의 기대감을 높여온 VAV는 섬세한 프로덕션으로 완성된 이번 앨범 “Spotlight”을 통해VAV만의 음악 색깔을 견고히 다지며 더욱더 빛이 나는 모습을 선보일 예정이다.

이번 앨범의 메인 타이틀곡인 1번 트랙 “Spotlight (光)”은 Urban R&B를 기반으로 하는 마이너코드댄스 팝으로, 치밀한 비트와 그루비한 베이스라인, 그리고 그사이를 넘실거리는 신스(Synth), 그 위를 가로지르는 세련된 멜로디를 통해 모노톤의 모던시크를 완성하고 있다. 특히 “너라는 빛을 향해 손을 내밀고, 마침내 따라가게 되어버린 나”를 스케치하는 내러티브는 무거운 안개 속에서 마침내 찾아낸 스포트라이트를 완성도 높게 그려내고 있다.

또한 더블타이틀곡인 2번 트랙 “예쁘다고 (Gorgeous)”는 Spotlight과정반대 지점에 위치한 곡으로, 80년대 마이클 잭슨과 프린스를 모티브로 하는 펑키한 디스코 기반의 화려한 총천연색의 레트로댄스팝 넘버이다. 특히 “너의 머리부터 발끝까지 모든 게 다 예쁘다” 고직설적으로 말하는 가사는 곡에 다채로운 컬러감을 덧입혔으며, VAV의 자신감 넘치는 보컬 역시 이 돌직구 고백을 더욱 완성도 높게 표현 해내고 있다.
