This album is a new album released after 6 years following luxury ballads such as 'Love Leaves a Fragrance', 'Same Pillow', and 'Love Is One', and sings plainly about deeper love.

It was an album that took a lot of effort over a year, and Tei was deeply involved in the entire process of making the album. From lyrics and composition to arranging and album design, I worked with the staff throughout the whole process.

Producer Choi Seong-il, who has been with all albums since the first album, took charge of producing the entire album, raising the quality of the album.
All orchestral performances and the best performers and engineers in Korea participated, thinking about every second and making meticulous efforts to improve the perfection.

테이의 정규 7 집 하프 앨범 '더 뉴 져니(The New Journey)’ 에는 타이틀 곡 ' 사랑은 왜' 와 신곡 ‘그리움도 사랑이다’, 리듬 앤 블루스 요소가 가미된 팝 발라드곡 ‘그냥가’, 이 앨범에서 가장 실험적인 곡 ‘ 따뜻했던,그대만’, 그리고 ‘다시 사랑 할 수 있을까’와 지난해 10월 발표한 이번 앨범의 선공개곡 ‘그리운 날에는’ 등 총 6 곡이 수록되어 있다.

테이는 ‘새로운 여정(The New Journey)’이라는 의미로 앨범 제목을 정하고 세 번에 나눠 수록 곡들을 발표할 예정으로 작년 가을에 이어 올 겨울 두 번째 수록곡들을 발표했다.
이번 정규 7 집 하프 앨범 타이틀곡 ‘사랑은 왜’는 신예 작곡가 임지수의 곡으로 테이가 작사에 참여해 감성지수를 높였다. 곡을 듣자 마자 전원이 타이틀 곡 이다 평 했을 만큼 완성도가 높았다는 후문.
변하지 않을거라 믿었던 사랑이 시간이 갈수록 변해간다는 주제에 ‘사랑은 왜?’ 라는 물음으로 이별 후 떠나간 연인을 그리워하는 노래로 테이의 호소력 짙은 깊은 보이스가 감성을 사로 잡는다.

이번 앨범은 ‘사랑은 향기를 남기고’, ‘같은베게’, ‘사랑은 하나다’ 등의 명품발라드를 이을 6년 만에 발표하는 새로운 앨범으로 한층 더 깊어진 사랑에 대해 담백하게 노래한다.

1년여 기간 동안 많은 공을 들인 앨범으로 테이는 앨범 제작 전 과정에 심도 깊게 참여했다. 가사와 작곡을 비롯해 편곡, 앨범 디자인등 모든 작업 과정에 스탭들과 호흡을 함께했다.

앨범 전체 프로듀싱은 1 집부터 전 앨범을 함께한 최성일 프로듀서가 맡아 앨범의 퀼리티를 높였다.
전곡 오케스트라 연주와 국내 최고의 연주자, 엔지니어가 참여해 1초 단위로 고민하며 완성도를 높이려 세심한 노력을 기울였다.
