The value of this album lies in the fact that it re-imprinted the faded charm of folk music to the public by presenting remake songs with more modern musicality and sincerity without damaging the artistry of the original songs. The album 「Sing Again 1」 was produced with the concept of mid-term review of Kim Kwang-seok's 10 years of musical life.

한국 대중음악계에서 과거의 명곡을 리메이크하는 관습은 해묵은 것이지만, 한두 곡이 아닌 수록곡 전체를 리메이크 노래로 채운 앨범의 역사는 그리 오래되지 않았다.
리메이크 앨범의 포문을 연 김광석은 '리메이크'를 대중가요 사상 처음 '다시 부르기' 라는 타이틀로 명명한 이 앨범을 발매했다.
이 앨범의 가치는 원곡의 예술성을 훼손하지 않고 더욱 모던해진 음악성과 진정성을 담은 리메이크 곡을 선보임으로써, 시들 해진 포크 음악의 매력을 대중에게 다시 각인시킨 점에 있다. 「다시 부르기1」 앨범은 김광석의 음악 인생 10년을 중간 점검하는 개념으로 제작했다.
음반에는 김광석이 솔로 가수 독립 이전에 그룹 노래를 찾는 사람들과 동물원에서 활동할 때 이미 발표했던 노래들, 그리고 자신의 솔로 앨범에서 선곡한 총 10곡을 수록했다.
