Devil, a hip-hop MC who has returned with his 2nd album after 12 years, is a representative lyricist of Korean hip-hop and a working engineer who holds a PhD in electrical engineering and works at Apple's headquarters in Silicon Valley, USA.

Deviance, which debuted in 2004 with Jerry.K's EP [Ilgal], is a member of Vitality, a crew that symbolizes Korea's hardcore hip-hop, with a compilation album [V] or featuring in Ignito's full-length album. After continuing his activities, he released his first solo album [Naked] in 2010. This album, which was an unconventional experiment at the time, mixed with electronic sound-based sound, sharp rap performances, and cheesy lyrics, is still loved by hip-hop fans 10 years after its release.

The 2nd album [Adaptation] symbolizes the 10 years of adaptation life experienced while changing the place of life from Korea to the United States. In this album, he reveals a completely different side from the ambitious experimenter and cold-hearted insight he showed in his first album. 12년 만에 2집 앨범으로 돌아온 힙합 MC 일탈은 한국 힙합을 대표하는 lyricist이자, 전자 공학 박사 학위를 소지하고 미국 실리콘밸리의 Apple 본사에서 근무하는 현업 엔지니어다.

2004년 제리케이 (Jerry. K) 의 EP [일갈] 로 데뷔한 일탈은, 한국의 하드코어 힙합을 상징하는 크루 Vitality의 일원으로 컴필레이션 앨범 [V], 혹은 이그니토 (IGNITO) 의 정규 앨범 피쳐링 등으로 활동을 이어가다가, 2010년 솔로 1집 [Naked] 를 발매했다. 당시로서는 파격적인 실험이었던 전자음 기반의 사운드와, 날카로운 랩 퍼포먼스, 촌철살인의 가사가 혼재된 이 앨범은, 발매 10여 년이 지난 현재까지도 힙합팬들의 사랑을 받고 있다.

2집 [적응] 은 한국에서 미국으로 삶의 터전을 바꾸면서 경험한 10여 년 간의 적응 생활을 상징한다. 이 앨범에서 그는 1집에서 보여준 야심 찬 실험가, 냉철한 통찰가와는 사뭇 다른 면모를 드러낸다. 일탈의 변화한 취향과 삶의 배경을 상징하는 다양한 스타일의 비트를 주조하기 위해, 한국 힙합의 터줏대감 Mild Beats, Prima Vista 부터, 오랫동안 scene 실력자로서 좋은 반응을 얻고 있는 JazzyMoon, kimish, Radix, mohyell 등의 프로듀서들이 힘을 더했다. 오랜 동료인 이그니토의 피쳐링 외에는 전 곡 일탈만의 표현과 랩 퍼포먼스로 가득 차 있는 2집을 통해, 일탈은 각자의 방식대로 사회에 적응하기 위해 고군분투 하는 개인들에게 따듯한 위로를 건넨다.
