I thought that if I did music for a long time, of course, I would come up with a musical genre I liked and an answer, but the more I did, the more I felt that I didn't know. Then the time to compose gradually decreased.
I couldn't hastily write songs like I used to. I keep spending time with such an uncomfortable heart
One ordinary day when the wind was cool, I had this thought while spending a day without any plans.

'Maybe the right answer would be to put these emotions I have right now into the album?'

The color and genre of this album cannot be summed up in one word.
It's just a diary-like album that contains I'll's thoughts, habits, and expressions in 2021.

I started working and met music friends from my college days who wrote the most courageous songs on my own, wrote songs about the thoughts of eating delicious food and talking, and recorded them as they were. has changed to

It was also the first album I felt I could record with a smile.

And although I plastered this album with kiwi, I don't really like that kiwi.

'아일(I'll)'의 새콤달콤매콤한 첫 번째 EP [KIWI MIXTAPE]

첫 싱글 앨범으로 데뷔 후 경연 프로그램들과 밴드 활동 그리고 여러 음악 활동을 하다 어느 순간 스스로 정의 내릴 수 없는 음악적 색깔 때문에 깊은 고민에 빠졌습니다
'나는 락 팝 발라드 알앤비 모두 다 좋은데..'
오래 음악을 하면 당연히 내가 좋아하는 음악적 장르와 답이 나올 줄 알았는데 하면 할수록 더 모르겠다는 맘이 커졌습니다 그러다가 작곡하는 시간이 점차 줄게 됐고
예전처럼 섣불리 곡을 쓸 수가 없었습니다. 그렇게 불편한 맘으로 계속 시간만 보내다
바람 선선하던 평범한 어느 날, 아무 계획 없는 하루를 보내며 이런 생각이 들었습니다

'어쩌면 내가 가지고 있는 지금 이 감정들이 앨범에 들어가는 게 정답일 수 있겠는데?'

이 앨범의 색깔과 장르는 하나로 정리해 말할 수 없습니다
그저 지금 2021년 아일의 생각과 습관, 표현들이 들어간 일기장 같은 앨범입니다

'내가 지금 느끼고 좋아하는 장르의 음악들을 하나하나 손수 골라 사랑하는 이에게 주고픈 믹스테이프'

작업을 시작하고 스스로 가장 용감하게 곡을 썼던 대학시절의 음악 친구들과 만나 맛있는 걸 먹고 떠들다 드는 생각을 곡으로 쓰고, 그 기분 그대로 녹음을 하다보니 최근 두렵고 무섭기까지 했던 스튜디오라는 공간이 가장 두근대고 행복한 곳으로 바뀌어 갔습니다
그 결과 지금까지 만든 앨범 중 가장 힘들게 시작해 가장 재밌게 끝낸 앨범이 나왔습니다
웃으며 녹음할 수 있다는 걸 처음 느낀 앨범이기도 했습니다

그리고 이 앨범을 키위로 도배하긴 했지만 사실 저 키위 딱히 안 좋아해요
그렇기에 가장 나다운, 아일 다운 앨범이라고 생각합니다.
이 앨범을 통해 얻은 좋은 경험과 에너지로 다음 앨범에서 만나요 그때까지 항상 건강하세요 안녕
