CLC, who showed a rainbow-like appearance with various styles of music in the last 6th mini album [FREE'SM], focused on chic and charismatic performances with hip-hop, EDM, and dance-oriented compositions in this album. Even in the contrasting concept images of 'BLACK Ver.' and 'RED Ver.', which were released prior to the comeback, they transformed into a proud charm and full of maturity, fulfilling expectations for visuals.

As the title suggests, the title song 'BLACK DRESS' is a song that expresses a woman's desire to seduce a woman in a fun way through a black dress, a fashion item. The heavy beat and addictive sound captivate the ears. 지난 미니 6집 [FREE’SM]에서 다양한 스타일의 음악들로 무지개 같은 모습을 보여준 CLC가 이번 앨범에서는 Hip-hop, EDM, 댄스 위주의 구성으로 시크함과 카리스마 넘치는 퍼포먼스에 집중했다. 앞서 컴백을 예고하며 공개된 ‘BLACK Ver.’과 ‘RED Ver.’의 상반된 콘셉트 이미지에서도 도도한 매력과 성숙미 가득한 모습으로 변신하며 비주얼에 대한 기대감을 충족시켰다.
