SPECTRUM 2nd mini albumIn the title song 'What do I do', the dreamy atmosphere of the story of being trapped in the unconscious world of dreams and being frustrated because you can't get out of it even if you try to escape, and the speedy development of the song with a sense of reversal were impressive, the second track 'Sad story' Compared to 'What do I do', it progresses at a slower medium tempo. The rap lyrics written by Dongyoon himself became the last message to the fans, but it is also a song that contains the desire of the Spectrum members to not forget Dongyoon and the desire to always be together even if they are far apart due to the breakup.

스펙트럼(SPECTRUM) 두 번째 미니앨범타이틀곡 ‘What do I do’에서는 꿈이라는 무의식의 세계에 갇혀 벗어나려고 해도 벗어날 수 없어 좌절하고 마는 내용의 몽환적인 분위기와 반전되는 속도감 있는 곡의 전개가 인상적이었다면, 두 번째 트랙 ‘Sad story’는 ‘What do I do’에 비해 조금 더딘 미디엄 템포의 진행을 이룬다. 첫 번째 트랙과 달리 이번에는 현실의 착각 속에 갇혀 홀로 헤어 나오지 못하는 내용의 가사가 안타까움을 자아낸다.
마지막 트랙 ‘Dear my’는 가장 서정적이고 느린 템포의 발라드 곡으로 위의 두 트랙과 달리 드라마틱 한 감정 안에서 추억과 희망을 노래한다. 팬들이 전해주는 진심과 사랑에 보답하고자 처음 쓰기 시작했던 이 곡은 스펙트럼의 멤버 故 김동윤 군의 마지막 유작이 되었다. 이 곡과 스펙트럼 안에서 끝없는 시간을 함께 살아갈 팬들과 멤버 동윤을 위한 스펙트럼 멤버들의 마음이 몰아치는 스트링 사운드와 피아노 사운드로 잘 표현된 곡이다.

이렇듯 다양한 느낌의 사운드는 스펙트럼 멤버들이 직접 작사한 감성적인 가사와 하모니를 이뤄 몽환적인 분위기와 더불어 모순적이게도 속도감마저 그려낸다.
꿈속에 갇혀 벗어나려 발버둥 쳐보지만 끊임없이 반복되는 꿈의 늪에서 결국 빠져나오지 못하고 점점 더 깊게 빠져들고 만다는 내용의 가사는, 실상 지쳐버린 나의 현실을 도피하고자 나 자신이 만든 꿈속에 스스로를 가둬 버린 안타까움 일지도 모른다.
