On January 22nd (Friday) and 23rd (Saturday), 2016, the 2nd album of the live album of <VOKAL>, a concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of the musical debut of Ok Joo-hyun, the best musical actress in Korea, was released at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall.
Ock Joo-hyun held a sold-out concert for the 10th anniversary of her musical debut for two days.
A special stage and costumes identical to the actual musical performance, a 22-piece orchestra band led by music director Byun Hee-seok, a talented ensemble that performed various roles, and Park Hyo-shin, Sung Si-kyung, Seohyun (Girls' Generation), musical actors Jo Jung-eun, Jeon Dong-seok, Kim Ho-young and Spectacular guests such as composer Frank Wildhorn
Meanwhile, the first album 'Refining', which was released earlier on August 4, selected 16 songs with a higher level of perfection than directing and performance during live performances, minimized and refined the sound of the scene, and recorded them within one day of release. 지난 2016년 1월 22일(금), 23일(토) 블루스퀘어 삼성카드홀에서 열린 국내 최고의 뮤지컬 여배우 옥주현의 뮤지컬 데뷔 10주년 기념 콘서트 < VOKAL >의 라이브 앨범의 두 번째 앨범이 발매됐다.
옥주현은 이틀간 전석 매진된 뮤지컬 데뷔 10주년 기념 콘서트
실제 뮤지컬 공연과 똑같은 특수 무대와 의상, 변희석 음악감독이 이끄는 22인조 오케스트라 밴드, 다양한 역할을 수행한 실력파 앙상블, 그리고 박효신, 성시경, 서현(소녀시대), 뮤지컬 배우 조정은, 전동석, 김호영 그리고 세계적인 작곡가 프랭크 와일드 혼 등 화려한 게스트들도
한편 지난 8월 4일 앞서 발매된 첫 번째 앨범 ‘정제(精製)’는 공연 실황 중 연출과 퍼포먼스보다 노래 자체의 완성도가 높은 16곡을 선별해 현장음을 최소화하고 다듬어 수록하였으며, 발매 하루 만에 주요 음반 매장에서 품절이 속출 하는 등 판매 돌풍을 일으킨 바 있다.
11월 29일 발매되는 두 번째 앨범은 콘서트를 기록하는 앨범으로서 곡의 소개 멘트, 게스트와의 대화, 뮤지컬 해설 등의 멘트 하나까지도 정제 없이 거칠게 살려낸 것이 특징.
앨범을 듣는 것 만으로 콘서트를 보지 못한 이들에게 콘서트 현장에 있는 것 같은 라이브의 생생함을, 콘서트를 관람했던 관객들에게는 그날의 전율과 감동을 다시금 되살려준다.
두 번째 앨범에는 콘서트의 오프닝을 장식했던 뮤지컬 <아이다>의 넘버 ‘THE DANCE OF THE ROBE’, ‘MY STRONGEST SUIT’, 유머러스한 콩트와 함께 상큼 발랄한 탭 댄스가 돋보였던 뮤지컬 <브로드웨이42번가>의 넘버 ‘GO INTO YOUR DANCE’, 8분 30분을 편집 없이 담아낸 ‘CELL BLOCK TANGO’, 아빠를 추억하는 울먹임을 여과 없이 담아낸 ‘아빠베개’, ‘자장가’, 핑클 시절의 히트곡을 담아낸 ‘FIN.K.L MEDLEY’ 등 첫 번째 앨범에 수록되지 않았던 많은 곡들이 다수 포함되어 있다.
폭발적인 가창력과 흡입력으로 뮤지컬 마니아들 사이에 옥주현 최고의 히트곡으로 통하는 ‘Rebecca-ACT2-’의 솔로 버젼, 콘서트의 관객으로 객석에 앉아 있던 2NE1의 산다라박이 깜짝 참여했던 ‘DEFYING GRAVITY’ 등 첫 번째 앨범에 수록된 곡 중 일부도 다른 버전으로 수록했다.
