The long hibernation has become very long. And at the end of that long sleep, the long-awaited emotional signature Korean national band NELL has finally returned with a new full-length album 'C'. This album is their first album in 2 years and 5 months since “Newton's Apple” released in early 2014, and it contains the traces of their passion and concern that they poured out for an album in a not short time.
'C', the first work to be released after the establishment of their own new home, Space Bohemian label, is a record that Nell's emotions are more firmly united, with a cold head and a hot heart. It started from, and over the course of two years, it was converted into individual songs, developed, and finally completed as one album.
In particular, this mastering work was conducted by John Davis, a mastering engineer at Metropolis in London who worked with top artists such as Snow Patrol, REM, Led Zeppelin, and New Order. The album was perfected to the fullest by adjusting the schedule and working on it.

긴 겨울잠이 많이 길어졌다. 그리고 그 긴 잠의 끝에 드디어 기다리던 감성 시그니처 대한민국 국대 밴드 넬(NELL)이 새로운 정규앨범 ‘ C ’ 로 돌아왔다. 이번 앨범은 2014년 초에 발표된 “Newton’s Apple” 이후 2년 5개월 만의 앨범으로 짧지 않은 시간 동안 한 앨범을 위해 쏟아 부은 그들의 열정과 고민의 흔적이 고스란히 담겨있다.
그들만의 새로운 보금자리인 스페이스보헤미안 레이블 설립 후 선보이는 첫 작품인 ‘C ’ 는, 머리는 차갑게 가슴은 뜨겁게 작업한, 넬의 감성이 더욱 단단하게 뭉쳐진 음반으로 Chaos, Conflict, Confuse, Contradiction 등 의 주제로부터 시작되어 2년 여의 시간을 거치는 동안 개별의 곡으로 전환, 발전 되어 비로소 하나의 음반으로 완성이 되었다.
특히 이번 마스터링 작업은 스노우 패트롤, R.E.M, 레드 제플린, 뉴오더 등 최고의 아티스트들과 작업했던 런던 메트로폴리스의 마스터링 엔지니어 존 데이비스(John Davis)가 진행했으며 넬의 사운드를 좋아하는 팬으로서, 최고의 컨디션을 위해 스케줄까지 조정해가며 작업을 진행, 이 앨범의 완성도를 한껏 높여주었다.
때론 한 여름의 태양처럼, 때론 무더위를 밀어내며 시원하게 쏟아지는 빗소리처럼 다가오는 이 앨범은, 트렌드를 쫓아 유행처럼 흘러가는 음악이 아닌 아티스트 고유의 색채와 신념을 담은 음악이자 2016년 현재 음악씬에 던지는 새로운 제안이다.
