2007년 가요계를 휩쓴 빅뱅의 결정판! 2007년 12월 28일부터 30일까지, 3일간 서울 올림픽 공원 펜싱경기장에서 열린 빅뱅의 두 번째 단독콘서트 라이브 앨범 [The Great]가 발매된다.

데뷔 년도(2006)에 열린 첫 번째 콘서트부터 매진사례를 이뤄 관계자들을 놀라게 한 빅뱅은 이번 콘서트에서는 그 열기가 더욱 뜨거웠다. 특히 2회 공연을 계획했으나 티켓을 구하지 못한 팬들을 위해 1회 공연을 추가했음에도 티켓이 순식간에 매진돼 빅뱅의 더욱 높아진 인기를 실감케 했다.

1만 5천명의 팬들을 열광시킨 빅뱅의 뜨거운 무대를 그대로 옮겨 놓은 이번 앨범은 콘서트를 다시 보고 싶어 하는 이들에게는 그 때 그 열기를, 공연을 보지 못한 이들에게도 마치 현장에 와 있는 듯한 생생함을 전해준다.
