Born from the hands of national producers through the all-time audition show 'Produce 101' amidst endless issues, girl group I.O.I will officially debut with their first mini-album 'Chrysalis' on May 4th.

I.O.I _ Ideal Of Idol
'IOI' is an abbreviation for 'Ideal Of Idol' and means 'the most ideal idol'. As the first girl group to be created in a format that has never existed or been attempted before, they plan to show off the most ideal and unimaginable various appearances.

1st Mini Album < Chrysalis >
The album title 'Chrysalis', which the 11 members thought about and decided on together, means 'preparation time' and is an album filled with the dreams and hopes of the girls who made their official debut after countless hours of sweat and effort in preparation.

I.O.I's debut album 'Chrysalis' is a mini album consisting of a total of 7 tracks including the title song 'Dream Girls', 4 new songs 'IOI (Intro)', 'Knock Knock Knock', 'Doo Wap', and 3 I.O.I versions of 'Pick Me', 'Crush', and 'When the Cherry Blossoms Fade'.

In particular, this debut album 'Crysalis' is an album that holds more meaning to I.O.I than just an official debut album. It can be said to be a 'real' I.O.I album in which the members directly participated in the production of the main album, gave their opinions and made decisions, and contained their own unique colors.

Starting with the name of the album "Chrysalis," the selection of the title track and other tracks, the individual characters in the music video, and even the choreography, I.O.I participated and gave their opinions. In the cases of Im Na-young and Choi Yoo-jung, they directly participated in writing the lyrics for the title track and the intro, showing off their top-notch skills.
