About 8 months after their last mini-album [Lose Yourself], KISS OF LIFE has returned with their fourth mini-album [224]. With the title song 'Get Loud' and the track 'Igloo', which clearly showed KISS OF LIFE's unique color through their previous work, they created a buzz by making their name on domestic and international music charts. They showed a strong presence by ranking high in global streaming platforms including Spotify in Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and all over Asia, and the Igloo Challenge craze that spread through SNS once again proved their popularity.
In addition, the experience of meeting and interacting directly with fans from all over the world while successfully completing their first world tour [KISS ROAD] became an opportunity for the team to grow to the next level, and the musical skills and depth built up during that journey were naturally incorporated into the entire album, creating a result with a higher level of perfection.

KISS OF LIFE's fourth mini-album [224] contains a narrative of one's ego moving from oppression to liberation through the flow of time, 'today, tomorrow, and forever.' This is a journey to find the true 'me' through self-awareness, beyond the simple flow of time, and a message to those who live forgetting their ego.
“Today” in the album symbolizes the state of being oppressed by the gaze and rules of others, “Tomorrow” symbolizes the moment of self-awareness that comes from questioning oneself and struggling, and “Forever” symbolizes the liberation reached at the end of that awareness, that is, the self that has regained its true self. Ultimately, “forever” in the album goes beyond the meaning of time and signifies the complete “me” as a being that makes choices and lives fully.
The visual of the album starts from the story of 'dull senses'. It captures our appearance where our emotions and thoughts become blurred in the repetitive daily life. It seems like a life that conforms to set rules and flow, but it also highlights the existence that asks itself 'Who am I' and 'How should I live' and struggles to find the answer. 지난 미니앨범 [Lose Yourself] 이후 약 8개월 만에 KISS OF LIFE가 네 번째 미니앨범 [224]로 돌아왔다. 전작을 통해 KISS OF LIFE의 독보적인 색깔을 확실하게 각인 시킨 타이틀 곡 'Get Loud'와 수록곡 'Igloo'로 국,내외 음원 차트에 이름을 올리며 화제를 일으켰다. 스포티파이를 비롯한 글로벌 스트리밍 플랫폼에서 한국을 비롯한 싱가포르, 대만, 말레이시아, 홍콩, 인도네시아 등 아시아 전역에서 상위권에 오르며 강렬한 존재감을 드러냈고, SNS를 중심으로 확산된 Igloo 챌린지 열풍은 이들의 인기를 또 한번 증명해 보이기도 했다.
또한 첫 월드 투어 [KISS ROAD]를 성황리에 마치며 전 세계 팬들과 직접 마주하고 호흡을 나눈 경험은 팀의 성장을 한 단계 끌어올리는 계기가 되었으며, 그 여정속에서 다져진 음악적 내공과 깊이는 이번 앨범 전반에 자연스럽게 녹아 들어 한층 더 완성도 높은 결과물을 만들어냈다.
“Today, Tomorrow, Forever”
KISS OF LIFE의 네 번째 미니앨범 [224]는 '오늘, 내일, 그리고 영원'이라는 시간의 흐름을 통해, 한 사람의 자아가 억압에서 해방으로 나아가는 서사를 담아내고 있다. 이는 단순한 시간의 흐름을 넘어서, 자각을 통해 진정한 '나'를 찾아가는 여정이자, 자아를 잊은채 살아가는 이들에게 보내는 메세지이다.
앨범 속 “Today”는 타인의 시선과 규칙속에서 억압된 상태를, “Tomorrow”는 스스로에게 질문하며 투쟁을 통해 깨닫게 되는 자각의 순간을, 그리고 “Forever”는 그 자각 끝에 도달한 해방 즉, 진정한 나를 되찾은 자아를 상징한다. 결국 앨범에서의 '영원'은 시간적 의미를 넘어, 스스로 선택하고 온전히 살아가는 존재로서의 완전한 “나”를 의미한다.
앨범의 비주얼은 '무뎌진 감각'에 대한 이야기로부터 출발한다. 반복되는 일상 속에서 감정도, 생각도 흐릿해져가는 우리의 모습을 포착한다. 마치 정해진 규칙과 흐름에 순응하는 삶처럼 보이지만, 그 안에서도 '나는 누구인가', '어떻게 살아야 하는가'를 스스로 묻고 답을 찾기 위해 발버둥치는 존재를 조명한다. 결국 마주하게 되는 영원한 '나'는 누군가 혹은 무언가를 통해서 얻는것이 아닌, 스스로 쟁취해야 한다는 메세지를 전하며 그 과정을 그려내고 있다.
매 앨범마다 뚜렷한 콘셉트와 다양한 장르의 음악으로 자신들만의 길을 개척해온 KISS OF LIFE가 [224] 앨범에서는 그 여정의 연장선이자 또 한번 새로운 매력을 펼쳐 보일 예정이다. 페미닌한 무드의 R&B 힙합 타이틀 곡 'Lips Hips Kiss'를 비롯해 디스코, 어쿠스틱 발라드 등 다양한 장르의 7곡이 수록된 이번 앨범으로 대중과 팬들의 마음을 다시 한번 사로잡을 예정이다.
