Description (Translated):
Kwon Jin-ah, who returned with a clear autumn breakup sensibility, 2nd regular album 'My Shape''My shape', filled with sadness and pain for a long time, fragments of a confused heart
Contains 5 self-composed songs with 10 different emotions of separation and deeper messages
On September 19, 2019, exactly three years after the release of the debut album 'Funny Night' with the title song 'End' on September 19, 2016, Kwon Jin-ah's second regular album is coming.
The 10 songs in 'My Shape', the last track of Kwon Jin-ah's 2nd full-length album and the title of the album of the same name, are a detailed journey to find various shapes of me that I did not even know I faced in the maze-like days, and the journey to find that dizzy piece of mind. to draw
In this album, which contains 5 songs written by Kwon Jin-ah herself, you can feel Kwon Jin-ah's deepened sensibility, sensuous songwriting, and excellent singing ability at once, having endured 3 years of patience.
The restrained emotional lines and beautiful melodies surrounded by ironic expressions while holding back the sadness that bursts out from the first track 'I was lucky' captivate the ears. From the beginning to the end of the album, Kwon Jin-ah's emotional vocal charm, which makes it possible to 'manipulate the memory of a breakup' as if he had just broken up, was fully demonstrated.
The title track, 'Clock Hands', was written by Kim Eana and dealt with a movie-like breakup scene like the hands of a clock going their separate ways after being one. Kwon Jin-ah's vocals, which elaborately dealt with the moment of separation in the title song 'The End', which was greatly loved in the last album, clearly show the restrained pain of sadness rising in 'Clock Hands'.
The composition of 'Clock Hands' was composed by Yoo Hee-yeol, the head and representative producer of Antenna, Shin Hyuk, the CEO of 153 Entertainment and executive producer of Joombas Music Group, and MRey, Minsu Bae, and Ashley Alisha. Jukjae, who is active as a guitarist and arranger, took charge of arranging and created a track that perfectly fits the autumn sensibility.
Here, a total of five self-composed songs written and composed by Kwon Jin-ah brought diversification of messages along with Kwon Jin-ah's musical growth. Tracks containing various messages such as meeting and parting, the process of finding the real me, and the mindset for singing flow leisurely as if meeting water in Kwon Jin-ah's writing style. In addition, he met with the best composers and arrangers of the time, such as Hong So-jin, Juk-jae, Yoon Seok-cheol, and Kwon Young-chan, who was in charge of string arrangements for several songs, to enhance the energy of the songs.
Jukjae and Hong So-jin each took charge of arranging three tracks in this album, creating a musical combination that achieves an excellent balance with Kwon Jin-ah. They raised their abilities to the maximum and gave them musical diversity.
Then, 'Late Seeing Off' written by singer-songwriter d.ear, who worked together on the title song 'The End' of the first regular album, and 'That Night' by Hong Ji-sang, a composer with a reputation for lyrical lyrics and tracks. 'Hide and Seek' presented by composer Hen, You Hee-yeol, and Lee Jin-ah, who gave a wonderful breath with the recently released drama 'Meloga Constitution' OST 'Consolation', is included, and Kwon Jin-ah's deeper sensibility contains a wide range of
[Introduction of the track directly delivered by Kwon Jin-ah]
The first track, 'I was lucky', says that I was lucky to have someone in my life who loved more than me. It hurts as much as I loved you, and now you say it's okay, but the lyrics that you read and repeat over and over again somehow make it sound even more sad.
There are times when I think deeply about myself and fall into it. In that moment, I realized. The unique 'my shape' doesn't change no matter how hard I try. It took quite a long time to find and accept that shape. I made a song about the pain I went through in the process and sang it. I'm sure many of you will have a similar experience. Jukjae-nim's arrangement was truly a 'God's move'.
When you miss someone you don't have now, I hope you listen to 'Meet me in a dream' and give me a little bit of strength. Through Yoon Seok-chul's hands, a warmer jazz ballad atmosphere was created. Please be comforted to many people.
'I'll Just Love You' is a funky and groovy piano, bass, and drum-oriented song. And the brass that came in from the interlude played a part in setting the mood of the song. When it comes to love, I wrote the lyrics thinking of myself, who doesn't try too hard and thinks simply and lightly.
ah! 'I just want to love you' and 'Melody' are arranged by Hong So-jin, who collaborates with various artists such as IU, Crush, and Sam Kim. made the sound.
