DONGKIZ's first project back with a retro sensibility of the 90's Moon Ik & Jae Chan DONGKIZ I:KAN [YOU]

After their debut in 2019, Dongkiz, who has been running all over the stage with confident music and unique concepts, is the first project to beat the heat in July 2020! Moon-Ik & Jae-chan embark on their first unit activity with DONGKIZ I:KAN.

Moon Ik and Jae Chan of DONGKIZ I:KAN, the main characters of DONGKIZ's first project, appeared as male characters together in the web drama “Joining Yourself” and became the main characters of the first unit team after matching the chemistry of the two in the team.

The title song 'YOU' was created for DONGKIZ I:KAN by musician 'KIRIN' and producer 'Bronze', who are receiving a lot of attention as the protagonists of the retro craze in 2020. DONGKIZ I:KAN digests songs of the New Jack Swing genre of the 90s with retro sensibility, completing the exciting and unique image of the existing Dongkiz as well as cool music reminiscent of a midsummer beach.

Also, in the performance part, the choreographer Bae Wan-hee of LEGO LABLE, who created addictive and unique choreography for Momoland, Lovelyz, and April, worked together once again to perfectly realize the retro groove point choreography and even the 90's dance break section.
The music video of 'YOU', full of 90's trend street sensibility, is directed by Kang Min-ki (aa.r.ch), and it is unique to I:KAN by adding vintage images and visuals that were difficult to find in existing idol music videos. and completed a music video full of positive energy.

DONGKIZ 1st Project Jaechan and Munik's unit DONGKIZ I:KAN, who came armed with elements that present memories to some and bring fresh charm to others, make people look forward to DONGKIZ's next project with new concepts and music.

2019년 데뷔 후 자신감 가득한 음악과 개성 있는 컨셉으로 무대 위를 종횡무진 달려왔던 동키즈가 2020년 7월의 무더위를 날려버릴 첫 번째 프로젝트! 문익&재찬 DONGKIZ I:KAN (동키즈 아이캔) 으로 첫 유닛 활동에 나선다.

동키즈의 첫 번째 프로젝트의 주인공인 DONGKIZ I:KAN 의 문익, 재찬은 웹드라마 “조아서 구독중”에서 함께 남자 주인공으로 출연하며 팀 내 둘의 캐미를 맞춘것을 시작으로 첫번째 유닛팀의 주인공이 되었다.

타이틀곡 ‘Y.O.U’ 는 2020년 레트로 열풍의 주역으로 큰 주목을 받고 있는 뮤지션 ‘KIRIN(기린)’ 과 프로듀서 ‘Bronze(브론즈)’가 DONGKIZ I:KAN을 위해 작업한 곡이다. 90년대 뉴 잭 스윙 장르의 곡을 DONGKIZ I:KAN만의 레트로한 감성으로 소화해내며 기존 동키즈의 신나고 개성 있는 이미지는 물론 한 여름 바닷가를 연상케하는 시원한 음악으로 완성되었다.

또한 퍼포먼스 파트에서는 모모랜드, 러블리즈, 에이프릴 등 중독성 있고 유니크한 안무를 탄생시킨 LEGO LABLE 배완희 안무가와 또 한 번 호흡을 맞추며 레트로한 그루브의 포인트 안무들과 90년대 댄스브레이크 구간까지 완벽하게 구현해냈다.
90년대 트렌드 스트릿 감성으로 가득한 ‘Y.O.U’의 뮤직비디오는 강민기(aa.r.ch) 감독의 작품으로 기존의 아이돌 뮤직비디오에서는 찾아보기 힘들었던 그 시절 빈티지한 영상과 비주얼이 더해져 I:KAN만의 유니크하고 긍정적인 에너지가 가득한 뮤직비디오를 완성해냈다.
