For those who always want to be honest in front of their hearts
Now, 10CM has become a modifier of the era. When hearing the name of 10CM, at least one line of his song will linger in everyone's head. The birth of many hit songs is the result of diligence added to his outstanding musicality.
He is back with his third EP [The 3rd EP]. It has been about 8 years since the 2nd EP [The 2nd EP]. Since the 4th regular album [4.0] in 2017, more than 10 singles and OSTs have been released, showing a variety of appearances, and this was the time to build new music and moves for 10CM.
This EP, which consists of a total of five tracks, includes songs he has been working on since 10 years ago, when he was in the early days of his activity, and songs he has recently worked on. In the double titles 'Yesterday You Abandoned Me' and 'Isn't it a bit like having?', the scenes in which the characters in the lyrics treat love and breakup with different attitudes intersect, and in 'I'll Work Hard' and 'Condition', the strong character that stood out in his early works. The taste of acoustic sound is buried again. The last track, 'Please Don't Stop Your Singing', was released for fans and contains a message he wants to convey to fans who have been with him for a long time.
Those who have loved his music will be able to feel the specialness of this album. Kwon Jeong-yeol has always created stories with honest lyrics without embellishment. His sincere music has steadily expanded the range of sounds that can be made with acoustics, and this EP is the result of that process.
The poor youth who passed along with his early works, now everyone must be living busy lives, but they are still inexperienced beings who hesitate before love and rise again even in the harsh daily life. Track 01. You abandoned me yesterday (Title*)
The first sentence of the lyrics 'Yesterday you abandoned me' was adopted as the title of the song. This is one of my favorite songs on this album. For the first time in the history of a 10cm song, the lyrics depict a situation in which the main character is fine even after a breakup. A situation that has never happened before in my songs, and I don't think it will ever happen again. However, seeing how busy and pitiful he lives without even realizing that a breakup has come, I wonder if he is the main character of 10cm's song.
Track 02. I will work hard
It's an unreachable word, but it's composed of lyrics that calmly give the other person a promise to live hard. The more I try, the more I fall short, but the content about the main character, who knows very well that what I want more from the other person is greed. It goes well with this season, and although it was the most recent among the b-side songs, it is a song that I love because it goes well with the existing songs.
Track 03. It's a bit like having, isn't it? (Title*)
This is my favorite song in this album because it seems to be composed of lyrics that best fit the main character of 10cm's song. It's one of the lyrics I cherish because it's a pitiful but very pretty heart that is timid and lacks self-confidence, but cares for the other person and is very considerate.
Track 04. Condition
This is one of the oldest songs on this album. This is a song that really started from a demo I made 10 years ago. I think I worked while feeling the heart between welcome and novelty.
Track 05. Please Don't Stop Your Singing
This is a song that was released as a surprise on October 10th of this year at Tentenjal. One day, I suddenly thought that the fact that we couldn't meet like before and that we couldn't even sing together was much more painful and difficult than I expected - I never expected it. I made this song with the hope that I can hear the voices of the fans who were thrilled the more I listened to it as soon as possible, and that it would never be cut off like this again.

이제 10CM는 한 시절의 수식어로 자리잡았다. 10CM의 이름을 들었을 때 누구에게나 그의 노래 한 소절쯤은 머릿속을 맴돌 것. 숱한 히트곡의 탄생은 그의 뛰어난 음악성에 더해진 부지런함의 결과이다.
그가 세 번째 EP [The 3rd EP]로 돌아왔다. 두 번째 EP [The 2nd EP]로부터는 약 8년 만이다. 2017년 정규 4집 앨범 [4.0] 이후 10곡이 넘는 싱글 및 OST를 발매하며 다양한 모습을 보여주었고, 이는 10CM의 새로운 음악과 행보를 구축해나가는 시간이었다.

'어제 너는 나를 버렸어'라는 가사의 첫 문장이 곡명으로 채택됐어요. 이번 앨범의 수록곡 중 많이 아끼는 노래입니다. 10cm 노래 역사상 처음으로, 주인공이 이별을 당했음에도 괜찮은 상황을 그리는 가사로 이루어져 있거든요. 제 노래에서 한 번도 있었던 적 없고, 앞으로도 없을 것만 같은 상황. 하지만 이별이 닥쳤는지도 느끼지 못할 만큼 바쁘고 불쌍하게 사는 걸 보면 역시나 10cm 노래의 주인공인가 싶기도 합니다.

닿을 수 없는 말이지만 상대방에게 열심히 살아보겠다는 다짐을 담담하게 건네는 내용의 가사로 이루어져 있어요. 본인은 노력하면 할수록 모자라지만, 내가 상대방에게 더이상 무언가를 바라는 것은 욕심이라는 것을 잘 아는 주인공에 대한 내용이 꽤 슬퍼요. 이 계절과 참 어울리고, 수록곡 중 가장 최근에 작업했지만 기존 곡들과 합이 잘 맞아서 애정이 가는 노래입니다.

10cm 노래의 주인공에 가장 잘 어울리는 가사로 구성된 것 같아서, 이번 앨범에서 좋아하는 곡입니다. 소심하고 자신감은 없지만 상대방을 아끼고, 너무 배려하는 그런 불쌍하지만 되게 예쁜 마음이 녹아 있어서 제가 아끼는 가사 중에 하나이고요.
Track 04. Condition
이번 앨범에 수록된 곡들 중 가장 오래된 노래에요. 정말 10년 전 만들었던 데모에서 시작된 곡입니다. 반가움과 새로움 사이의 마음을 느끼면서 작업했던 것 같아요.
Track 05. Please Don't Stop Your Singing
올해 10월 10일 텐텐절에 깜짝 공개했던 노래입니다. 어느 날 갑자기, 우리가 예전처럼 만날 수 없게 되었고, 같이 노래도 부를 수 없다는 사실이 예상했던 것보다 - 예상해 본 적도 없지만 - 훨씬 괴롭고 힘들다는 생각을 했어요. 들으면 들을수록 감격스러웠던 팬 분들의 목소리를 최대한 빨리 들을 수 있기를, 그리고 다시는 이렇게 끊어지지 않기를 간절히 바라는 마음을 담아 이 노래를 만들었습니다.
