- Title track 'ECLIPSE' singing about 'moments of light and darkness,' GOT7's deepened musical color

The group GOT7 will make a comeback on May 20 at 6 p.m. with the release of their new mini album 'SPINNING TOP : BETWEEN SECURITY & INSECURITY' and the title track 'ECLIPSE'.
GOT7, the "representative K-pop idol group" who successfully completed their 2018 world tour "GOT7 2nd WORLD TOUR 'EYES ON YOU'" consisting of 21 performances in 17 cities worldwide, is making their first comeback of 2019 with an album filled with sincere feelings. Receiving widespread love from global fans, GOT7 is presenting their new album "SPINNING TOP : BETWEEN SECURITY & INSECURITY" approximately five months after the release of their repackage album "'Present : YOU' & ME Edition" last December.
GOT7 has incorporated diverse genres and sounds into their new album 'SPINNING TOP : BETWEEN SECURITY & INSECURITY,' and boasts a more substantial musical spectrum by incorporating autobiographical stories into the lyrics. In particular, this album began with a remark by GOT7 leader JB: "The spinning top felt just like me." The album captures the idea that just as there are moments of 'light' in life where one must maintain balance and spin confidently, there are also moments of 'darkness' where once confident and stable situations begin to waver.
In addition, through the object of a 'spinning top,' GOT7's albums, music, stage, and life were expressed as being organically connected.
Track 2, the title song 'ECLIPSE,' is notable for the lyrics written by JYP's head, Park Jin-young, as well as the participation of GOT7 leader JB (DEFSOUL) in both songwriting and composition. Up until 'Miracle,' the title track of their 3rd full-length repackage album released last December, GOT7 has sung about whether they can confidently protect a precious being and about gratitude for the presence that is always by their side.
However, this time, they have captured their deep contemplation on whether they deserve such undeserved love and whether they can fully protect it through music. With the addition of a well-structured performance, this is a track where you can feel both the profound message and GOT7's overwhelming visual charm.
Just like GOT7's previous albums, the members participated in writing the lyrics and composing the music for 'SPINNING TOP : BETWEEN SECURITY & INSECURITY,' capturing the group's deepened emotions with added sincerity and gravitas. The album includes a total of 7 tracks, including the title track 'ECLIPSE' and an instrumental version of 'ECLIPSE' that can only be heard on the CD.
Tracks 1 through 3—from '1°', featuring lyrics by Yugyeom and inspired by a spinning top, to the title track 'ECLIPSE', and 'End', which evokes a lyrical atmosphere with lyrics and composition by Jinyoung—sing about the moments when darkness rushes in from light. On the other hand, tracks 4 through 6—including Youngjae (Ars)’s 'TIME OUT', which conveys the message that it is okay to take a break amidst a busy daily life, 'Will You Believe Me', with lyrics and composition by BamBam expressing the sentiment of 'please believe in and love me even though I am not perfect', and JB’s 'PAGE', which conveys the wish to write down precious moments like a diary—depict the moments of finding light from darkness.
Along with the release of their new album 'SPINNING TOP : BETWEEN SECURITY & INSECURITY', GOT7 will also embark on a 2019 world tour titled 'KEEP SPINNING'. Having established themselves as a 'global trending idol group' through their 2018 world tour, GOT7 is determined to deliver spectacular performances during this tour while maintaining their own center, much like a top spinning steadily.
Along with news of their recent comeback, GOT7 announced the venues for their first world tour, including Asia, North and South America, and Europe, and it appears they will expand the scale and scope of the tour in the future. In particular, expectations are high as they revealed that they will collaborate with Live Nation, a concert promoter responsible for performances by famous international artists such as Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Maroon 5, and Lady Gaga, for the shows in North and South America, Australia, and Europe.
GOT7, who have formed a connection with fans through the results of deep contemplation with every comeback, are ready to communicate with them in this album as well, through songs that convey the complex and subtle inner psychology that anyone can relate to.
'K팝 대표 아이돌' GOT7이 전하는 메시지, 'SPINNING TOP : BETWEEN SECURITY & INSECURITY'
글로벌 팬들의 폭넓은 사랑을 받고 있는 GOT7은 작년 12월 발매한 리패키지 앨범 ''Present : YOU' & ME Edition ('프레젠트 : 유' & 미 에디션)' 이후 5개월여 만에 신보 'SPINNING TOP : BETWEEN SECURITY & INSECURITY'를 선보인다.
