A community of shared destiny, connected by "blood"... Our connection? The beginning of the precious "blood" series!
'DARK BLOOD… A dark fantasy about seven boys prepared to sacrifice themselves for something precious!
“Proof that it’s yours” Title song ‘Bite Me’… The boy’s awakening after reuniting with his destined partner!
ENHYPEN will release their fourth mini-album 'DARK BLOOD' on May 22nd.
ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, Niki) has grown with special album narratives that have received support from their peers, from the 'BORDER' series that tells the story of boys entering a new world, the 'DIMENSION' series that encounters a complex and contradictory world, to 'MANIFESTO' that finds a path ahead of others in the future after realizing their calling.
ENHYPEN recorded cumulative sales of 1.13 million copies on the Gaon Monthly Album Chart (as of October 2021) with their first full-length album 'DIMENSION: DILEMMA' released in October 2021. Later, with their third mini-album 'MANIFESTO: DAY 1' released in July 2022, they recorded sales of over 1.13 million copies (1.24 million copies sold in the first week) on the second day according to Hanteo Chart, becoming the first K-pop group to have two albums become 'million sellers' in the shortest period of time since their debut.
2022 'ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ', ENHYPEN, who embarked on their first world tour, met ENGENE around the world with a total of 22 performances in 12 cities. In particular, the additional Japanese performance held at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan sold out 80,000 seats for two performances, setting a milestone of entering a dome in the shortest time among the 4th generation K-pop groups. Having built a solid global fandom in just two years since their debut with an album narrative containing a message representing their generation and amazing achievements, they will tell a new story with 'DARK BLOOD'.
The boy who ran forward and met his fateful partner again… My longing for you, my precious one.
The first engine I encountered after Endemic… A song of preciousness and gratitude, sung through fantasy.
ENHYPEN, who debuted in November 2020 during the pandemic, began to meet ENHYPEN in person during the COVID-19 pandemic. While ENHYPEN believed they were connected to ENHYPEN through online communication anytime, anywhere, the members, who vividly captured the fans' support with their own eyes, developed a deeper sense of solidarity beyond what they had felt online, and realized the profound gratitude they felt for their precious fans. "DARK BLOOD" is an album filled with ENHYPEN's desire to connect more closely with their fans.
ENHYPEN's fourth "BLOOD" series, following the "BORDER," "DIMENSION," and "MANIFESTO" series, weaves a fantasy-like story through the premise of "what if we forget each other" using blood as a medium. The blood that connects you and the boy is destiny, a symbol that proves our fateful relationship as it is what makes me exist.
"Bite me." A boy who gave his neck to gain the power to protect you. Becoming an eternal being, the boy falls into arrogance, believing this power to be his own. Punished by being so busy rushing forward that they forget each other, the boy falls into a state of profound loneliness. Then, upon discovering the mark of destiny engraved on his neck, the boy rediscovers your existence and resolves to sacrifice himself for you, a community of shared destiny bound by blood.
Combining K-pop and story IP… ENHYPEN presents the next entertainment with its 'K-pop roadmap'!
#Pride #Curse #Fate… Webtoon? Webnovel 'DARK MOON: The Altar of the Moon': DARK BLOOD, the continuation of the narrative.
'DARK BLOOD' shares the narrative of the album with HYBE's original story 'DARK MOON: Altar of the Moon', a collaboration with ENHYPEN.
'DARK MOON: The Altar of the Moon' is an urban fantasy high teen romance that depicts the love and final battle between vampire and werewolf boys over one girl. It is an epic story about a girl and seven vampire boys who are intertwined by a great fate.
"DARK BLOOD" and "DARK MOON: The Altar of the Moon" both deal with pride, curses, and fate, and the common theme of the act of "biting." ENHYPEN uses this narrative to convey their own story, comparing it to the gratitude they feel for their fans after the pandemic. They also present a new paradigm for combining K-pop and story IP. Beyond music, they aim to connect different industries, suggesting a new path for next entertainment and creating a new milestone as a "K-pop roadmap."
"Bite Me Again" - the title track, which acknowledges the fate connected by blood
A fantasy show by ENHYPEN… the pinnacle of captivating dark sexiness!
The title track, "Bite Me," is about a boy who reunites with his long-forgotten soulmate, realizing that they are bound by blood, and expressing his desire for her to bite him again as proof. Direct lyrics like "Just come kiss me and bite me," "Leave it on my neck," and "Proof that it's yours" powerfully convey the boy's feelings.
ENHYPEN presents a different mood from their previous tracks with "Bite Me." "Bite Me" is a minimal and addictive pop track, enhanced by ENHYPEN's captivating vocals for a richer sound.
ENHYPEN's alluring and dark visuals, embodying their unique concept, were also incorporated into their "Bite Me" performance. The "Bite Me" performance showcased the boys' bloodthirstiness through dance, highlighting their dark and sexy charms. The choreography, with its high level of perfection, is impressive, reminiscent of a well-crafted fantasy piece. Member Niki directly participated in the choreography creation, showcasing her performance prowess, resulting in choreography that further solidifies ENHYPEN's color.
The title of the song, "Bite Me," inspired movements reminiscent of neck biting, which were utilized as key elements of the performance. The "Bite Me" dance, where the performer touches the neck twice with their fingers and then wraps their arms around their neck to mimic biting, and the "Come Here" dance, where the performer claps their hands, extends their hands, and taps their fingers twice as if to beckon, conveying the nuance of asking someone to bite them in a simple yet hip mood, are key points.
The title track "Bite Me" music video delivers a high level of visual satisfaction with its sensual visual beauty and restrained group dance. It features a grand atmosphere of classical style combined with a modern sensibility, capturing ENHYPEN's classic yet sophisticated image simultaneously. The elaborate pearl-embellished, gorgeous costumes reminiscent of haute couture by artisans, contrasted sharply with the urban, clean black suits, exuding contrasting charms. Furthermore, ENHYPEN's stimulating looks and performance, along with their mature and undeniable aura, are other key points of interest that draw viewers into the music video.
In particular, this music video was produced with a focus on achieving outstanding visual beauty on an upgraded scale. Directed by Song Min-kyu, who is gaining attention in the advertising industry for his high-density visuals and unique storytelling style, the music video, shot entirely on location in Poland, utilizes a castle reminiscent of an ancient temple and a mysterious dome as its main set, while also capturing the vastness of nature, delivering the pleasure of viewing on an overwhelming scale.
A boy's story organically connected to each song's unique theme!
Highly polished? With addictive music, "DARK BLOOD" will be imprinted on listeners as a fateful album.
"DARK BLOOD" is based on the story of a boy who has forgotten you, his arrogance, curse, awakening, and sacrifice, and each song has its own unique theme. The first track, "Fate," dramatically depicts the boy's awakening after realizing his destiny; the title track, "Bite Me," expresses his hopes for a reunion with his destined partner and the hope of leaving a mark again; "Sacrifice (Eat Me Up)" expresses regret over oblivion and resolves to make a sacrifice; "Chaconne" is about a lonely, intoxicated dance full of arrogance and corruption; "Bills" sings of the pain of separation due to lost love; and the final track, "Karma," urges us not to forget that we are all connected by blood from our past lives. The album contains a total of six tracks. Each song organically connects with the boy's story, further empathizing with the message contained in "DARK BLOOD."
"DARK BLOOD" blends a diverse range of genres and moods, from grandiose atmospheres to sophisticated darkness and funkiness. ENHYPEN's unique storyline and addictive tracks combine to create an album with a unique concept. Filled with high-quality music, "DARK BLOOD" is expected to be a fateful album for many listeners.
'DARK BLOOD…
'DARK MOON:
“Just come kiss me and bite me”, “남겨줘 on my neck”, “네 거란 증거”와 같은 직접적인 가사가 소년이 느끼는 심정을 강렬하게 전한다.
DARK BLOOD'

ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR
'DARK MOON:
“Just come kiss me and bite me”, “남겨줘 on my neck”, “네 거란 증거”와 같은 직접적인 가사가 소년이 느끼는 심정을 강렬하게 전한다.
DARK BLOOD'
