In November 2023, Silica Gel announced the release of their second studio album [POWER ANDRE 99] in a new way unique to them, by unveiling all the tracks for the first time at a solo concert of the same name. Various attempts that defied everyone's expectations even before the release further amplified public anticipation.

In particular, this album marks their first full-length album in seven years since the release of their first album, *Silica Gel*, in 2016. It features 18 diverse tracks that only Silica Gel can deliver, crafted with high quality and sure to exceed public expectations. Having established themselves as an irreplaceable household name in the band scene, this album not only showcases their dazzling performance and growth through their second full-length album but also makes us look forward to how much more new and diverse music they will captivate the public with in the future.

The second studio album, [POWER ANDRE 99], is the culmination of Silica Gel's grand journey to find the identity of Machine Boy, which began with the single [Mercurial]. 2023년 11월, 정규 2집 [POWER ANDRE 99]의 모든 수록곡을 동명의 단독 공연에서 최초로 공개하며 실리카겔만의 새로운 방식으로 정규 앨범 발매 소식을 알렸다. 발매 전부터 모두의 예측을 벗어난 다양한 시도들은 대중의 기대감을 더욱 증폭시켰다.

특히 이번 앨범은 지난 2016년 발매한 정규 1집 [실리카겔] 이후 7년 만에 선보이는 정규 앨범으로, 오직 실리카겔만이 들려줄 수 있는 18개의 다채로운 음악을 완성도 있게 담아냈고 대중이 기대했던 것 이상을 충족시킬 것이다. 이제는 밴드신에서 대체 불가한 고유명사로 자리 잡은 이들이 정규 2집을 통해 보여줄 눈부신 활약과 성장은 물론, 앞으로 얼마나 더 새롭고 다양한 음악으로 대중들을 매료시킬지 기대하게 만드는 앨범이다.
