Hello! This is Park Jae-jeong. I hope you are all doing well.

We will be releasing a new album on September 29th. The title of the album is 'Record (Part 1)'. It contains a total of five songs. We are finally showcasing songs that we have not released until now.

I intended to document my long history, ranging from songs I wrote 10 years ago to tracks I finished recording 4 years ago, and melodies I created while in the military. Also, unlike the current times, there are two songs that are over five minutes long; although the album has a total running time of five tracks, many of them are long enough to rival the length of a standard full-length album. I prepared this because I wanted to dramatically capture the entire narrative arc, even if it didn't fit current trends.

I have been working on arrangements with the intention of showcasing them at the upcoming November concert, and I have tried to capture various aspects of the song.

1. The End of the Season

This is a song that was played exclusively for those who attended the mini-concert 'Dialogue'.
This song contains lyrics and a melody from my time in the military, which I worked on before 'Just Like This'. We decided to select this song as the title track because it was chosen by the fans. It is a song with a long running time of 5 minutes and 30 seconds.

In my opinion, the end of the four seasons is winter. I have explored the sentiment of winter as I perceive it through this approach. Which season's end are you currently at?

Oh, by the way, we are still filming the music video.

2. Regret

This song was given to me by a senior member of my ensemble class back when I was at Dankook University. It is the track that fans have most wanted to hear as an audio release, and I am finally releasing it as a digital single after 11 years. I have newly recorded it with a new arrangement. It is a song from 11 years ago, newly recorded by Park Jae-jung of 2026.

3. Preparation

In February 2021, I commissioned Mr. Tomita Lab (Keiichi Tomita) to produce this, and all the instruments were recorded in Tokyo. My vocals are from a song recorded four years ago. There may be subtle differences compared to my current vocals, but this is the result of capturing even those differences.

4. Withered Love

This is the first song I performed for you after my discharge from the military at the Lo-Pack Concert. It is a grand piece I worked on while imagining a concert, and I think it will allow me to show you a classic side of myself. The title "Goyeon" was created to mean "withered and dried-up love." Unlike typical pop songs, it is a song composed of four verses without a chorus.

We are preparing a performance of unprecedented scale to bring this song to life live. You really have to see this in person.

5. Why

Since there haven't been many exciting songs at the concert, I prepared some upbeat music for the first time in a very long while. I sang about a relationship where you keep drifting further away whenever you try to get closer. I will also present it with a spectacular sound at the concert.

I am both happy and nervous to be able to share these precious songs with you. I hope this will be a great gift for you on September 29th.

안녕하세요! 박재정입니다. 다들 잘 지내시죠?

오는 9월 29일 새로운 앨범을 발표합니다. 앨범 제목은 '기록 (上)'입니다. 총 다섯 곡이 들어가는데요. 그간 발표하지 않은 곡들을 드디어 선보입니다.

10년 전 만들었던 노래부터 4년 전에 녹음을 마쳤던 곡, 군대에서 만든 멜로디 등 저의 오랜 시간을 기록하려 했습니다. 그리고 요즘 시대와 맞지 않게 5분이 넘는 곡들도 두 곡이나 있고, 앨범 러닝타임은 다섯 곡이지만 웬만한 정규 앨범 러닝타임과 비슷할 정도로 긴 곡이 많습니다. 유행에 맞지 않더라도 기승전결을 드라마틱하게 다 담아보고 싶어서 준비해봤습니다.

다가오는 11월 콘서트에서 선보일 생각으로 편곡들도 진행하고, 나름 다양한 면모를 담아봤습니다.

1. 계절의 끝

미니 콘서트 '대화' 때 오신 분들에게만 들려드렸던 노래입니다.
'지금 이대로만'보다 먼저 작업했던 군 시절 가사와 멜로디가 담겨 있는 곡입니다. 팬들이 선택해주신 이 노래를 타이틀로 선정하게 됐습니다. 무려 5분 30초라는 긴 러닝타임의 곡입니다.

제가 생각하는 사계절의 끝은 겨울입니다. 제가 느끼는 겨울의 정서를 이런 접근으로 풀어봤습니다. 여러분은 어떤 계절의 끝에 계시나요?

참, 뮤직비디오는 아직도 촬영을 하고 있습니다.

2. 미련

단국대학교 재학 시절 앙상블 수업 팀 선배에게 받은 곡으로, 팬 여러분이 가장 음원으로 듣고 싶어 하셨던 곡인데 11년 만에 음원으로 선보이게 됐습니다. 이번에 새로운 편곡으로 새롭게 녹음했습니다. 11년 전 곡을 2026년의 박재정이 새로 기록한 노래네요.

3. 준비

2021년 2월 Tomita Lab(Keiichi Tomita) 선생님께 프로듀싱 의뢰를 드렸고, 모든 악기를 도쿄에서 녹음했습니다. 제 보컬은 4년 전 녹음한 노래입니다. 지금의 제 보컬과는 미묘한 차이가 있을 수도 있지만, 그것마저 기록해둔 결과물입니다.

4. 고연 (枯戀)

로팩콘 때 전역 후 처음 들려드렸던 곡입니다. 콘서트를 상상하며 작업한 대곡으로, 여러분께 클래식한 저의 면을 보여드릴 수 있을 것 같습니다. 고연은 '마르고 시든 사랑'이란 뜻으로 만들어낸 제목입니다. 일반 가요와 달리 후렴이 없는 4절로 구성된 곡입니다.

이 곡의 라이브를 구현하기 위해 전에 없는 엄청난 스케일의 공연을 준비 중입니다. 이건 꼭 실제로 보셔야 할 거예요.

5. 왜

콘서트에 신나는 노래가 너무 없어서, 정말 정말 오랜만에 신나는 음악을 준비했습니다. 다가가려 하면 자꾸 멀어지는 그런 관계를 노래했습니다. 콘서트에서 화려한 사운드로도 또 들려드리겠습니다.

아무쪼록 여러분께 이 소중한 곡들을 들려드릴 수 있어 기쁘고 긴장되네요. 9월 29일 여러분께 큰 선물이 되길 바랍니다.
